Is any JW who works at Brooklyn, Patterson or the WT Farms as a security guard armed with a weapon?
I just wondered if they actually rely on the police to turn up in an emergency or what they plan to do to protect themselves when Armageddon actually arrives or.....if there are intruders.
I wondered if arms were 'slightly' acceptable and if in the near or distant future another Waco was in the making.
Anyone know if the security staff are armed?

No they are not. Unless you count the NWT.
I left in 2005. No they are not armed.
As a 'watchman' - you carried 1) one big ass flashlight 2) walkie talkie 3) a map - if you not memorize the route 4) the 'key' 5) the keys to all doors
The WT security are called 'watchman' and only men have these 'duties'. There are permanent all night watchman bethelites. They usually get the newbies for this job...they are given this assignment for at least 2 years.

FYI NYPD - most of the GB are at 25 Columbia Heights 10th floor. The Branch Committee is at 30 Columbia Heights ... 8th floor I believe. You can round them all up on a Wednesday. After you arrest the GB on the 10th floor. Take the elevator to the 5th floor, across the brige, hang to your left until you reach the elevator and head up.

Maybe if there is hunting season at the farm. Shoot a few woodchucks, a racoon on night patrol of the compounds, I got picked up by some night watchman out on patrol back in the 70's while sleeping there, a friend And I decided we wanted to go for a walk 2 or 3 am in the middle of winter where we built a camp fire on some posted land and cook our hamburger meat bought at the farm commisarry. I think he had a little 22 rifle, maybe to plink a couple crows, nothing high powered or with a scope for those long distance shots.
But no automatic stuff machine guns or hand granades. Maybe pepper spray but definately low bugget. Nothing that the "superior authorities" or FBI or ATF would storm the place over like they did in Wakco, Texas,

Though I doubted they would be armed in New York city, I did wonder about the WT Farms. Virtually all farmers in the UK have shot gun licences to keep the rodent population under control. So I wondered about the WT farms and if they to would be armed.
But, is Patterson out in the country side and a long way from police assistance. That is why I wondered if they too may have arms.
Interesting that they don't, at least not officially.
