I don't know the date but something in my psychic ability says there will be more partakers of the emblems than the year before. Uh, I don't know, maybe just a hunch ? LOL! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

More importantly, does anyone care ? LOL... but to answer your question: Saturday, March 22, 2008.
"Field Service" alert! The elders will make sure every JW and their uncles will be out pounding the pavement that morning! LOL
Technically, you count 14 days after the observance of the New Moon nearest the Spring Equinox. Doesn't Nisan 14 fall on Fri, March 21, 2008? Am I missing something?
Personally, I think somebody at the WTS got this calculation wrong. But the WTS is not going to admit to another mistake so they are going to let this one ride.
If they do admit the mistake, I'll be quite impressed! Could be the start of something good.

According to the JW calendar the Memorial is on March 22 this year.
They usually figure the Memorial as the first full moon after the Spring Equinox.
So this is the earliest possible date for a Memorial.
Does this mean something?

This is a leap year in the Jewish Calendar, If I'm not mistaken, which most likley threw off the day by so much.

Yes, it means that this year it's not celebrated on Nisan 14th....

Folks,
This is dummy here.
Somewhere back in the recesses of my mind I remember that Memorial can come as early as the first part of March, and as late as April 17. There is definitely a problem this year if Passover is April 19.
The Jews, by observation of the new moon in Jerusalem were supposed to add an Intercalary Month, Veadar, or second adar 7 times every 19 years. It would seem to me that this year they should not have added the intercalary month to establish Nisan 14 so late.
The reality is that the WT uses its own, and sadly probably correct, method of determining when the nearest full moon to the spring equinox rises OVER Jerusalem, not over the US.
Keeping in mind too that the days in Israel start in the evening, therefore throwing us most of a day off every year, and sometimes a day off. The moon is not full the same day around the world, but there is the lag of the full moon. Possibly it is put off a day because the moon, while full here in the US on the 19th, was not quite full in Jerusalem until OUR 20th.
Sorry I can't be plain. But it isn't easy.
My guess is the WT is right, regardless of the modern Jewish Calendar.
Don't get me wrong, I am not an apologist for them, as I hate the WT with all my heart. But, I do think they have this figured out.
I sure can't explaing the Jewish modern calendar date though. My guess is that its incorrect this time.
