My last "Pioneer"car was a Datsun that was older then Iam from 1972, rusty, 1,000000000000 miles on the clock, AM radio optional extra Wow! Heater that could not heat.the windsceen. And to top it off someone dinted it at the back. Today? 1999 car which is covered in chips and scratches and has done 240,000.Km. Saftey features? Driver Air-bag. That's all. I think I will up-date this year.

My car is a 1990 Toyoto Corolla........but we just upgraded it in 2007 with a reburbished transmission and complete brake job.

It has over 240,000 miles and drives/rides smoothly. I just need to get a new paint job and alignment.

The only way I will give up this car when it can no longer work is to sell all its usable parts separately on e-bay.

I love this car. It has a bumper that the manufacturers no longer make.

When I sold cars, my boss took in the worse car I had seen. It was a 61 ford. Someone painted it with barn red latex house paint, chrome trim bumpers, everything but the lites. not floor coverning and hardly any upholstery there was so much dirt on the floor that some onions laying in the back floor were growing quite robustly. I had to pop the trunk open, and there I found about 100 lbs of rusty tools, some of which I salvaged. My boss could not explain why he took it in trade. A customer came in and wanted to buy it for the motor which ran like a dream. I told him he could have it for one dollar, only if he removed it out of the site of the lot and my eyes.. When he returned I gave him the title.

I realize this didn't quite fit your question , but I had to tell the story.

I have two vehicles one being my boat puller it is a 1995 Dodge Caravan and the other is my sweetness of a car it is a 1984 Firebird Trans- Am. It is the HO model the same car model that was used in the show nightrider. In the summer I can pull off the T-Tops and a nice cruise in the warm air is what I am missing right now. Darn it where is summer ?

I don't have an old car - but I have to brag about my car which I luv - my 2005 Crown Victoria. I'll have it for a lot of years, because they are going to be harder to find and I don't want anything else after driving this car. It's my second Crown Vic, and I've had two Lincolns, also. It's just as nice as the old Lincolns I used to drive.

    My '92 Paseo:

I could afford to get something nicer if I wanted to, but this car has been so good to me that I am reluctant to part with it.

Kept a car in the family for 21 years until it had to be hauled away to the junk yard.

In high school I drove a 1980 Dodge Aspen. Can you say Instant Chick Repellant? Now I have a gigantic Dodge Ram.

I don't think "oldest" necessarily correlates with "worst", I see many old cars which are well maintained, although I've had some of both, and some which were both at the same time. In high school, I drove a 1959 Fiat sedan for a while, until I got something better. Presently, I drive a 1989 Toyota pickup, still in good shape and runs great...would NOT trade it for a NEW pickup from any manufacturer except possibly Jeep (if they made the Gladiator, I'd probably buy one).

The only decent thing about the Chrysler Concorde I own is the space and comfortable seats. Alot of good that does since I haven't been able to try it for several months now because the tranny is shot.

Aside from that, the driver's side window can't go up or down because of bad tracks in the door which is bad because there's still a horrible smell coming from the vents (probably mildew) even though I tried adding I can't count how many cans of lysol. The air conditioner doesn't work (which I could care less about) but unfirtunately the bearing in that compressor is on the way out. I was told that when that seized it would then ruin the serpentine belt and cause of loss of power steering while driving. So I'm not sinking any more money into that car.

Here's the sad part folks. Because I have to commute to work I've been dependant on the charity of my JW father who let me use his spare car. He's a great dad, however you all can imagine and now know why I've been guilted into attending more of the blasted dub meetings lately.
