Hypocricy and Two Most Dangerous Expressions

Nothing is more duplicitous than two expressions taught by their religious masters and used by dubs when all of their arguments have been demolished.

The first expression is "wait on Jehovah." The second is "they're just imperfect men."

The first expression is used whenever lives are trashed by GB decisions and Elder decisions and it is used when dub leaders are forced to admit that doctrinal garbage and ecclesiastical decisions are undeniably wrong.

"That GB decision to push 1975 as the beginning of the 1,000 reign destroyed people's retirements, physical and mental health, caused people to spend their lives childless and it all was a LIE."

"You need to wait on Jehovah. Jehovah will fix things."

"Why in the hell didn't YOU 'wait on Jehovah' you GB morons? Why in the hell did YOU run ahead of the scriptures? Why does 'wait on Jehovah' only apply to YOU and not me or anyone else in the R&F? Why don't YOU follow your own advice and 'wait on Jehovah' instead of making up crap all the time and then hoping 'Jehovah' will fix things after lives have been trashed because of YOU running ahead?"

If a regular dub conned other dubs into a scheme or scam that caused them injury and were accused by a Judicial Committe, could they plead to the 'wait on Jehovah to fix things' excuse? Not in this or any other lifetime. But the GB routinely gets away with it and no one complains! Cannot they see the hypocrisy here?

The second duplicitous expression is merely a variation of the first one, but more implicitly acknowledges that injustices (often grave ones) have been done in the name of God by JW leaders. Like the first one, it is merely an excuse to sweep evils under the rug without atoning for them.

The GB refuses to atone for any sin it has committed! EVER! It never has and probably never will. It merely shifts the blame for its own evil onto the rank and file and accuses them of 'running ahead' of God. Yet, the GB requires dub sinners to demonstrate conspicuous repentence and atonement to avoid judicial punishment and a possible trashing of the sinner's family relationships. Of course the decision to punish or not punish often has little to do with genuine repentence, and more to do with personalities, vendettas and petty congregational politics. Moreoever, what human is able to know whether someone else is truly repentent or not? I say NO ONE, let alone a bunch of window washing, toilet cleaning elders!

"Wait on Jehovah" and "they're just imperfect" men are two simple phrases that lets the GB get away with murder. Literally.

Why don't dubs stand up and recognize this hypocrisy and do something about it? At least they could vote with their feet and bolt out the KH door for good. Or are they so beat up by their evil religious empire that they have been reduced to spending the rest of their lives as passive, sniveling, whimpering masochists?

It boggles the mind, doesn't it?

Recently, I sent a reply to an email from a friend about the pedophile issue and hit the "Reply to All" button so it would go out to some of the JW fanatics on her list, too.

Wow! Did I ever get lambasted!!!!

I was told in no uncertain terms that "It's not about imperfect men....it's about serving Jehovah", then she told me to take her off any list of mine that

she is on, because what I said was apostate and she didn't want to hear anything I had to say.

I've actually had this discussion with a branch member. His response was that not all people are as honest-hearted as I was, that Jehovah's enemies would twist whatever explanations would be offered.

I countered with "Trust in Jehovah" but he said it just wouldn't work, that too many people would be hurt.

I let him know just exactly what I thought of his faith *and* his organization.

The Old Farkel says it well in so few words. You must be really pissed lately. I think the concept of "imperfect men" is stupid because of its very premise. Human's aren't imperfect. Humans are simply human. Humans have limited perception. Humans adjust their conclusions based on new information. This has been institutionalized as "science". Perceptions that have to be altered are clearly human perceptions. And no one has anything but human perceptions because we are all "human". Perfect "anything" is idealistic religious magic. It is Platonism. Where is the perfect circle? It's all infinite decimal places.

“Why don't dubs stand up and recognize this hypocrisy and do something about it”

It’s called “programmed blindness” it works the best on the bungled and botched.

As Hitler said “How fortunate for leaders that men do not think."

Looks like you’ve been on another roll lately Doug. What’s going on?

These are the two main points I've used when I've been able to explain why I'm not going to meetings. They don't get it, but there was a time when I didn't either. The U.N. woke me up out of a coma. It is so nice to have my mind back, I rather like thinking for myself.

I dunno, Dave. I was remembering how my mother blindly used those expressions to explain away all the shit in her religion. One of the most sickening parts of the conversation was when I pointed out to her that I was tried, convicted and sentence for a Federal Crime because I followed my religion and did not accept alternative military service during the Vietnam Conflict. I lost two long years of my life working 40 hours per week for free doing the same alternative military service I could have done had the Watchtower let the draft board order me to do it, instead of forcing me to go to trial and let the Judge order me to do it.

Of course, we all know that years later the WTS dropped that requirement and I told her how that idiocy of Fred Franz trashed two years of my life and the perps never apologized for it. I had many friends not as lucky as me at the time and they did an averge of 2 to 4 years in prison over the WT policy.

What was her response? "Maybe Jehovah was testing you!" I said, "Are you saying that Jehovah tests people by using holy spirit to make the FDS promote and enforce lies that damage people? What kind of a sick God is that?"

For some strange reason, Mom remained silent...

Damn! Sorry Doug. I was still in high school when all that bullshit was going on. I only got pissed off at my mommy because she wouldn’t let me go out for football or date cute little cheerleaders babes. It was cuz the football practices would cut into meeting times and the cute little cheerleader babes weren’t one of God’s peeps.

You old guys had it rough during the olden times of the Vietnam war. No wonder you have serious mommy issues.

Fucken Freddy Brown Shoes! What a nut.

Hey! What happened to our project? I’m still waiting for your outline.

    Dave
