Hi, welcome to JWD. You were awfully smart for someone so young. It took me a lot longer to get out of the org. Yes, you ought to have a signed medical power of attorney so if necessary someone you trust makes the decisions, not someone who is a diehard JW.

Everytime I go to one of my family's wakes, I get ill treated... ANd I have to endure the JW nonscense.

At onr funeral, the elder said, and I quote word for word.... "we don't know why sister blank quit serving Jehovah, it could have been her friends". He thenpointed to us all sitting together in the hall.... asshole... I almost buster out of my drawers... anyway...

    Layla,

    Welcome to JWD!

I know how hard it is to sit though a JW memorial service recruitment drive. They spend almost no time eulogizing the loved one, and no one is given a chance to grieve. I agree how you have to turn down the volume in your head when listening to one.

Keep posting, and I am sorry for your loss.

    Hi Layla,

a very warm welcome to the board. Death of a loved one is difficult - I still miss my favorite Grandpa Alec (died 21 years ago) Keep her always alive in your heart.

    Peace and Love
