Is it compulsory to stay the 15 minutes for association after the WT study?

Leaving at "Amen" or hanging around to fellowship- that is just another thing that
they will tell you "officially" not to judge others about, but, in reality, will highly
gossip and criticize anyone about if they don't stay awhile.

The 15 minutes is officially for providing a lengthy enough gap between congregations
using the same hall to allow sufficient time for gathering literature and having a
meeting for field circus. It is universally applied for uniformity of all public talks- it just
has the added benefit of forcing the speaker to stick more strictly to the outline.

I believe it is in preparation for shutting down some kingdom halls and forcing more
congregations into the same hall. If they kept Saturday evening free, every single
    auditorium could house 5 congregations.

You don't even need Saturday free! How about this for a Sunday schedule:

    Congregation 1: 9:30 - 11:15

    Congregation 2: 12:00 - 1:45

    Congregation 3: 2:30 - 4:15

    Congregation 4: 5:00 - 6:45

    Congregation 5: 7:30 - 9:15

People would "murmur" about a Sunday evening meeting, but it could be done.

I think the primary reason for the change was to squeeze in 5 meetings every Sunday. In our hall the first is at 9:00 AM, so the last is 7:00-8:45. This way there are fewer Kingdom Halls to build. From an Operations perspective, this makes complete sense.

Murmur is right. There was a time slot from 4:30 to 6:30 on Sunday for awhile and complaints galore when a congregation rotated into it.

Well, if you are assigned to clean the KHall after the meeting, it will take you at least thirty minutes, as most of the ones in your book study who have the assignment will be absent that day, quickly leave, or, if elders, have "important business" to conduct in the back with other elders and cannot be expected to clean.

Willesden Cong in North London shares with 3 others so Sunday has 4 slots 9, 12, 3 and 6pm and the congs move one slot round each year.

    Nobody likes 6pm Sunday.

Unless they keep the doors locked, I am going to venture a "no" to your question.

Just wanted to add, if they keep the doors locked during the meeting, ensure they can be quickly opened from the inside by anyone just by pressing on the bar. If they can't, the congregation may be in violation of local fire regulations, in which case I'd report them.

They will just crack the whip and make that assignment mandatory for the
cleaners to start 15 or 20 minutes after the meeting ends, and assign enough
non-elders (after all, they are in a meeting in the back room) to get it done in
10 minutes. I love when that happens.
That way, they force people out quicker, or the place doesn't really get cleaned.

Congregation # 4 and #5 get such a pleasant looking hall after a few hundred
people have trampled through. This problem will eventually be solved by lower
attendance and less than a few hundred people ever showing up.

We usually stayed because my husband always had a responsbility to attend to- I didn't mind staying at our old hall, but when we switched the only people that would come and talk to me was the kids. It drove me nuts.

And who the heck wants to clean the hall wearing a suit and tie or a nice dress on? That drove me nuts when they had us do that

While I don't know how compulsory it is, this is old news about trying to get people to stay after meetings in order to get people to 'associate'.

I am specifically referring to the book study. I guess they don't like the fact that certain people just run out the door after the meeting is over. Some people have to run out because of family obligations. Some run out because they have been burned by people and don't want any close associations.

I myself was the target of people who tried to run after me and grab my hand to 'associate', etc. While I realize that in many instances certain people were very nice and trying to be genuinely friendly and for that I thank them, I came to see that certain others were only interested in getting close because they had an ulterior motive such as favor$ and the like. I hate to sound jaded, but nobody wants to be targeted because of their perceived socio-economic status. I was conscious of this and on the run from certain people.
