Looks like I'm in the minority here. I dedicated my life to God about three years prior, even before I'd heard of the witnesses. AT the time, I thought that very prayer was the reason they showed up in the first place.
Now, I'm just sick that I'm such a sucker.

I remember that I prayed... Because I was told to do so!
Same here....
I was 13, and my best friend & I did it together. I remember asking what it meant to dedicate myself, and being told just to pray and give myself to Jehovah in prayer.

I did not. I was baptized at 15, but I really didn't understand what 'dedicate yourself to Jehovah' meant.

To be honest i took it seriously and was trying to do what was right before i got baptized.But elders and others just piled on the pressure.You know " jehovah will only save baptized ones and the end can come at any time soon".Which when you think of it this peer pressure is nothing to do with holy spirit or christian qualities.
