We Need TRANSLATORS

  I was delighted to discover that German XJW is a good english speaker, and was able to translate my analyses of the memorial partaker figures into german. With lively response.

  I am not suggesting that every thread be completely translated, but only that non-"fluff" threads at least get a chance in other languages, maybe even just the really pithy posts to spread the word.

  Spanish, French, are the most widely spoken after english. It would at least be a start to informing the others who don't have access to english web sites.

  The Anti Witless equivalent of "wikipedia" Any takers to set up similar sites to JWD in other tongues?

  I am wondering if you started doing this it might get a bit confusing...maybe we should have a special link to other languages in the "Best of" Section... if it is worth posting there, it is probably worth translating...

  There are a lot of xJW forums in other languages, with quite a few JWD posters on them...

  Btw, chasson and others have already started an interesting "TJ-encyclopédie" (JW-encyclopedia) with the Wiki database.

  My Spanish is excellent, but that sounds like a lot of work, and there are several good anti-witness sites in Spanish.

  I've lurked around some spanish forums and there is definitely a need for translation of some weightier documents. I could help but my english-spanish translating skills are as good as my spanish -english skills.

  I speak Afrikaans - I doubt that would help much - kinda only spoken in South Africa

  I speak half the languages of Canada.

  I agree it would be difficult to do with this site but as mentioned, maybe some of the leaked info and advanced information that comes to us from those still in could go into a special foreign language section of the Best of thread.
