    The prices you quoted in your first post, are those prices for a new computer?

    How old is the computer you have now?

    The buzzing from your speakers may be a loose connection. Have your daughter jiggle the wires to see if it changes.

    Yes Eryn... But we went into another one also after that & I can get a new whole system ( minus printer) for $500.00. But they didnt know if the printer I have would work I have a HL 1435 Laser ???? I will get my daughter to wiggle wires LOL .... That makes me laugh Sorry!!!! My hubby used to ask me to wiggle his wire I know I am a dirty old lady As Gumby used to say.....But when I read it I had to laugh !!!!

    I personally don't see why your old printer won't work on the new computer.

    We will see about the printer ...When I was in the store I couldnt remember what my printer was. OLD AGE!!! I can remember things from YEARS ago but not things from today.... See I am not even using 10 per cent of my brain.... to long in the WT

    Granny, I just ran a quick search on your printer. From the looks of things it does work with Vista. I got this information from the 'brother' website, they have the Vista drivers to download, not that it is necessary by the looks of it they are also built into Vista itself...

    Hi Mouthy!

    My mom "yucca" just got a Vista laptop the other day. I forgot what a pain it was but I don't think there was a choice. She has arthritus but is learning how to use the laptop mouse fast. Windows XP will give you less problems, as the other poster said, they have not worked through all the bugs.

    I love mine but it is a pain at times.
