Wow, that's quite a markup. I''ll be sure to convey to elder puff-up how much his booklet is worth.

Hubby asks, which convention did you go to?

The last one in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl....8 days, super hot during the day and freezing at night (sessions until 9 pm). We skipped 2 days to do tourist stuff and never went out in the "preaching" work in the morning.

It was a grind for the adults but exciting for 3 kids who were in LA and seeing Disney, Marineland, swimming in a heated pool, discovering Mexican food, etc.

I was there at Yankee Stadium. I was 4.

Say, blondie, did you see me? I was the little girl sitting on the field in the rain on Sunday.

I was there in the Rosebowl in Pasadena, CA. It was a miserably hot summer and we were out in the boonies in the grass. I was 15. I remember vividly going to my folks 1959 Volkswagen and masturbating. LIke a fiend! Maybe 15,000 times during those long 5 days or so. I missed a few talks. Getting religion and being a sinner all at the same time. Was I feeling guilty? Sure. Did I regret feeling guilty? Hell, no! Yes! No! Yes! I forget.

I was at Milwaukee for the kickoff for this shindig. I know there is a copy of it around here someplace. My most vivid recolection as a small boy was the resolution condeming the UN. That is why the NGO thing really pissed me off so bad.

I will go in the basement and look for it in what I still have of the archives.

OMG blondie I was there too! Maybe you remember seeing me I felt like such a geek. 11ish, wore one shoe with my new dresses and one sandal as I had just been stung the day before the assembly by a stingray and got the nastiest infection walking around the stadium. Missed the last 2 days as my Dad made me stay home he didn't like the looks of the red streak going up my leg from my injury! LOL I felt so loved, most of the time I would have never known he cared, sigh.

    Farkel OMG TMI!!

    bikerchic,

Ok. Sometimes, I tend to exagerate. It was more like 12 or 13 thousand times during that assembly.

God, you guys are all so OLD!!! Ok, in a mere 3 years I would be born. . .seems weird to think anyone but my mom could remember that lon ago:) You know, there were a lot fewer JWs back then, and it seems like half of them are here. Those guys are in trouble.
