But if you die before Armageddon you will be resurrected. Whether you are a JW or not. Unless you have rejected "Jehovahs word" or if a JW you have been disfellowshipped, disassociated, and even worse an apostate.

Paradise Earth: A bunch of multi-cultural folks harvesting fruit whilst building massive suburban villas in breathtaking scenary.

(Who gets the nice real estate? Who is making the tools that everyone is using? I sure wouldn't opt to work in a factory all day with the prospect of some mountain country real estate.)

I used my brain for once and read the Bible without the WT mags, and now I'm having trouble figuring out where it specifically states that there's a Paradise on Earth, too... Anyone find that scripture yet?

the paradise earth is an earth cleansed of all imperfection with its bad effects. a time when the righteous ones will live on earth permanently. there is going to be a resurrection and during the 1000yrs of christ rule, mankind will enjoy peace on earth. the resurrected ones will be trained and tested by the devil who will be let on loose from the abyss and those who he will draw to his side will be dsetroyed without any hope of resurrectio the righteous ones now will enjoy life everlasting on this earth.

the issue of resurrection lies with Jehovah God himself. he said in John 5:28&29 that those in his memorial tomb will be resurrected. It is very obvious that a jW who remain faithful till death will be resurrected but for other denominations, the bible says that there are only two roads, one leads to life and the other to death, surely on these roads, there are no branches, so it is either you are serving God faithfully and heed his admonition that we should not forsake the gathering of ourselves because there, he instructs us.

    I know I would
fail the ultimate test at the end because I just cannot serve a God who kills innocent
Asian, Indian, African, & Middle eastern children because their parents were wonderful
people at the moment of Armageddon, but they never accepted literature from
Jehovah's Witnesses, whom they barely heard of. I cannot serve a God who plans to
destroy all those that don't sell Watchtowers.

OTWO...This is one of the very things that started me questioning the Wizards behind the curtain. I would ask my 100% Dubbie wife why people would get destroyed when they obviously had not heard the "good news" (folks in China, etc.). She would always respond that God could read hearts and He would know which ones to kill and which ones to save. To which I would reply, "Then why all of the emphasis on PREACHING when all He has to do is read the hearts of everyone?" She would respond that it was a way for us to prove our loyalty to him and I would then say..."Why the hell doesn't He read our hearts too?" She'd get mad and stomp off and call me rebellious or some other WTBS name.

I used to pride myself on being able to argue from a LOGICAL standpoint with worldly people (Why would a god of love burn people forever? Why would god create a beuatiful earth just to bring them up to heaven?, etc.) The I started applying the same LOGIC to WTBS crap. It did not hold up either.... besides the previous question, things like...Why would a loving god make billions of his created subjects suffer extreme hardships for thousands of years because He has a bone to pick with De Debil?

The WTBS only allows their members to apply logic to the "other guy."

thank you pauly for the clear understanding of paradise, but most of

us here have many, many years of the JW thing.

You may want to reevaluate your thoughts about what

I have always told my mother that I didn't know what was going to happen, that I trusted, that whatever God did, it would be good. In a silly way, it's like getting an airline ticket to some exotic place from a dear trusted friend, you don't know where, but you know it will be good. It's been paid for and you don't have to do anything but be loving, trusting and accept that ticket.

    Guest,

This is one of the best expressions of what faith is that I have read. May I keep this quote to use? This is exactly how I feel, but have found it hard to express.

Thank you so much for this gem!!!

    Compound Complex,

Thank you so much for finding and posting this comment. When I first started reading this, I thought it was your research. I was going to comment that you must

spend your life doing research. Obviously someone we know does.

This was hard to read for me in the small font, but I was rivetted.

It takes a lifetime to get all the JW stuff out of our heads and to sort out the real facts that the Bible is trying to tell us.

I am so glad we serve a God who doesn't expect us to know everything the Bible teaches and who doesn't judge us on our intelligence.

    Love and hugs,

    Velta
