This was the first item of Cognitive Dissodence that got me thinking... They are not (and admit not to be) inspired, they have the ability to (and admit that they can and do) make errors due to being imperfect men, but you must believe them 100% without question. Sounds like BS to me...
Annointed not inspired - do they say that in there own publications?

difference between "inspired by spirit" and "directed by spirit", - anyone see any articles by the jw's or ask a jw the difference between the 2?
The WTS never explained the difference. You're supposed to believe both of these statements at the same time.
Like Robert said, the main idea is to enforce loyalty to the organization. No JW would be able to clearly explain the difference, other than to try to say the organization got certain things right, but are not perfect.

I have seen it somewhere yes - the annointed are not inspired but what they publish HARMONIZES with what is in the scriptures - tha tis how they phrase it

hmmmm, ok, so what if what I say harmonizes with the scriptures and its not what they teach? Why do they say that we should believe them over ourselves?

Its all complete horse shit isn't it? I mean, just as always their own words incriminate them to be the absolute idiots they are!
THis thread was interesting as it has to do with questions I've always had about the so-called "annointed"... I never bought that crap in the first place; I've never seen scriptual evidecen for this teaching... it never made scense. What a crok, like the same men that beat their chests at the WT org, ssay they are gods channel and the like; what arrogant haughty asses they are, and then time after time they get stuff wrong... but on this annoiinted thing, they're right... Only their interpretation is correct, "christendom" has it all wrong, but God tells us what to do so we are right...
Just ask them, they'll tell how right they are, then totally dismiss the fact they weere wrong about so damn much other stuff that it can't be numered... I alawys get a laugh when I think about that mansion they built for the returning prophets to live in.....LOL, oh God that's funny.

Jehovah's Witnesses Unitedly Doing God's Will Worldwide-p.26 "The Governing Body consists of a group of anointed Christian men (13 in 1986), including 7 serving on the board of directors of the Watch Tower Society. These preside over the worldwide activities of Jehovah's Witnesses. They are not inspired by God and hence are not infallible, but they rely on God's infallible Word as the highest authority on earth, and have a lifetime of experience in submitting to God's will." OBVES
To begin with know that most people don't understand what is the Holy Spirit ! The understanding is however so close to them that they in total blindness don't see that.
We use the words "in the spirit of love we are doing this " .The spirit here implies the way thing is being done .
So ,if I am a servant of God Yahweh and claim to have His Spirit it means my way of life is in the mode of living a holy life the way God Yahweh wants me to.
The true believers that fit God's end-time plan have the invisible mark on them to live that holy life with all the implications resulting from what established in His agreements with his people as given in the Bible.
The Holy Ghost is the Holy Spirit and in the times when God was giving his direct messages to his servants was on a higher level of acting as the words of the Bible had to be faultless and were to serve as a spiritual food for nations.
So ,we can say the Holy Writings were unmistakeable while we who read and study the Bible may not understand what we read and make mistakes.
My whole life testifies to this fact as I had moved from Catholic religion to a new religion independent of any religion we have today.
The Watchtower can make errors and you can see that they speak about a new light . This confirms the fact they are learning more truths of the Bible with passing time.
When I compare my understanding of the Bible looking back I can see how my views improved and how much new understanding was added.
We are living in different times than when Christ and his first disciples lived . They worked miracles no christian can do today whatever faith he or she has . The miracles God Yahweh used in times when He was giving us the Bible ,that is ,the Holy Messages that later were to be included in the Bible .
With the views like I have today some teachings of Taze Russell can be refuted. He belived in miracles and that is an apostasy today !
But at that time at that level in God's plan of the end times he was the best servant of Yahweh on the face of the earth. It was as if Christ revealed himself in his personality which can be called Christ's spiritual coming in 1914 AD ! The Watchtower seeming;y did not understand what was the spiritual coming of Christ in 1914 AD . Ask them now they don't know yet I may assume that the year 1879 AD was the year that we can begin the end-times and is still actual ! They almost put aside the date 1914 AD but I am keeping the 1879 AD alive.
If you know my posts I begin with the year 1878 AD which is like the year of announcement of the end-times.
So I have a timeline : 1878 AD - 1879 AD -1950 AD - 1914 AD - 1984 AD - 1991 AD - 2011 AD - 2012 AD.
To make the matter simple to you who has the best possible understanding of the Bible we should expect that person to have the largest measure of the Holy Spirit as planned for the end-times .And it is an ongoing process .We don't understand everything at once .The Bible remains the same all the time while our understandings progresses .It is called a progresive understanding.

Glad you cleared up the fact you have a time line OBVES -some of us here were a little uncertain.
