Now I guess I'll have to post a picture of it now. :)

I have Jimi Hendrix Experienced mug that Andy bought for me before his car accident and breakdown. I love it.
Then I have a Universal Studios mug that has Andy on it that his parents brought him from California. I always have called it the lucky Andy mug. I still have it. I asked him recently if he wants it back. He said it would hurt him if I didn't still want the mug. So I am keeping it. It is very precious to me.
Andy I loved listening to NPR together and have a couple of mugs from shows that are played on Saturday mornings. I love those mugs and memories of drinking coffee with him on Saturday mornings and listening to the shows together. I miss those times very much.

I am a mug, but that's a different story on a more dramatic thread. My favorite cup is somewhat large, flares out from a narrow bottom, keeps my coffee hot, is a good color of dried-river-bed green. It has a good large handle. I paid forty-nine cents for it at the thrift store and when I break it, because that always happens, I'll start looking for another one.

I am a creature of habit.
I sit in the same place, park in the same place, use the same things, and do the same things whenever possible.
I had a favorite coffee cup I had driven a rascal scooter through snow to get from Wal Mart, but it broke, then I had another, one of those big, round, deep ones like you could sip soup from, it had a pewter Harley logo and was orange inside which always made me feel like my coffee was particularly high-octane. It also had a double finger loop for enhanced control while drinking coffee near my keyboard and reading the latest drama on JWD.
Alas, the pewter insignia parted ways with the mug and a spiderweb of cracks progressed across the lovely orange interior.
Now I have a taller Harley mug for my coffee that is more like a beer stein.
I also have my specific 'go-cup' for taking my coffee in the truck without getting it ON the truck.
Folks around here know not to use my stuff or they could wind up wearing my coffee.

My daughter found a Blues Brothers mug at thrift store for me. It was in perfect condition. I was delighted. She might as well have given me the hope diamond. I had coffee in it everyday. Everyday until some family member broke the handle off it in the sink. I actually grieved over that mug. Maybe one day I will order one from the House of Blues when I can afford it. Mine looked similar to the mug on the left.

I like big wide mouthed mugs. I have of course, my Tim Hortons mug that I use most days. This morning I'm using the mug from my secret santa. I have a cup and saucer that is very precious to me. My grandmother and I would always sit and have tea, several times a day, when I was visiting her. This was just "our" time to sit and relax and talk about what we did that day, listen to her stories, or just sit quiet, depending on our moods. She introduced me to her love of tea (can't drink coffee). It is someting I'll always treasure.

the one i reach for most often was a gift from a fellow fader whom i helped to build a 4 stall stable out of all manner of scrounged materials..... managed in 10 weeks working during public school hours ( between us we have 7 kids!) in the end.... we were 1/8 inch off square!!
it is a wee bit oversized and has very cool water colour-esque graphics of antique tools
as an aside, my 14 YO daughter did a school tour in the UK this summer past, and brought me a cup with the union jack..... and i remember thinking how frikkin lame it was when i was "in" to freak out about flags.... sheesh..... anyway, i will occasionally use it when she is around to show appreciation

F H N...Hey ! you were drinking from my picture and making me feel hot !
really now..House of Blues Chicago , is THE place ...maybe just one day...if "my ship ever comes in " ??
The mug in front of me proclaims the name of my home town football team, it says "Champions" but the letters are faded now, like the glory of the team..I still use it with pride though.
