No. The premise of the thread is ridiculous, I took the trouble to investigate where the asteroid was going to be, where Luna was going to be and used that information to point out the impossibility of either an Earth impact, a Lunar impact, or a hazardous (to us on Earth) electromagnetic effect. Since the thread started with outright misinformation and fear mongering, the most constructive thing I could have done was to direct a cold wet spray of reality on it. Now do you have anything to say about the relative positions of TU24 and the Moon, and the electromagnetic interaction of that asteroid with the magnetosphere?

There is a Hypothesis floating around that this asteroid my be affected more by the earth magnetic field than previously thought possible. This comes after a surprise event that occurred with the passing of the Holmes comet. It reacted strangely and it's dust cloud became the largest object in the solar system for a while. Scientists are thinking if this asteroid is charged negatively and passes through earth's positive magnetic field it might change it's orbit drastically. It's a hypothesis yet to proven this might prove it.
