What 1st made you come to JWD?? (page 2)

Had pretty well faded, but was looking to find out what book was released at the last convention. Searching for it brought me here, where I learned much more than I was looking for.

The first time I came to an ex-jw discussion board I was still a believing JW, and I googled "Jehovah". The first thing I saw was a sex thread, and I thought, "OMG!!! Those demonized apostate bastards even have sex online!!!" I immediately closed my browser and walked away from the computer in case some sleazy apostate women tried to force their sexual attentions on me.

And no, I'm not kidding.

It didn't take long for me to find my way back though, to research my doubts.

you know, I read at a lot of these sites when I first left (4ish years ago) and I don't remember for sure if I ever read here or not... but it does look familiar.

This time I was looking for other ex-jw's... just because a lot of people can't really understand the history and sometimes you want to talk about that experience. Someone on myspace directed me here, so I joined :)

Besty pointed me in the direction of www.jwfacts.com which opened my eyes fully to the truth about "the truth", he then showed me this site and I've been hooked ever since and posted the first day I came here.

It went a long way towards helping me not to fall apart completely.

What 1st made you come to JWD??
