My Thoughts on the Circuit Assembly

In an earlier post, Rising Eagle told of his relatives going to the CA this weekend. I was at the same one.

    Here are some comments:

    1. Brand name recognition counts for a lot, but the Society screws this up big time. Since they are "officially" the "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses" (tm), I guess they have to use this name to conduct official business. So, when I called to reserve a room, I said "I'm coming to town for the Jehovah's Witness convention, and need to get the special rate." The clerk said "I don't have anything for Jehovah's Witnesses. I have a block for The Christian Congregation." Ok, so I brain shifted fast and remembered the new name, and got my room.

When we arrived in town, the sign on the motel said "Welcome, Christian Congregation!" Oh, well, so much for proclaiming JEHOVAH's name.

    2. According to the DO, cleavage is a BAD THING!

    3. "True Christian" organizations do not waste time with creating Hospitals, Universities, or soup kitchens and breadlines, because if they were important to Jesus, he would have said as much, especially at Matt 28:19, 20. This was also from the DO Public Talk today. Of course, this totally ignores the example of Jesus healing the sick, feeding the masses (loaves and fishes, anyone?!), and recognizing the importance of education (quizzing the rabbis at the Temple in Jerusalem). This DO is such an ass, I felt like I wanted to go totally Chimpanzee and fling my own feces at him.

    4. Cleavage IS A BAD THING!

    5. Stay off of My Space, especially if you are a kid.

    6. Cleavage IS A BAD THING!

    7. There was other stuff, but I kept falling asleep. Or I would've if my wife had quit elbowing me.

    8. Ooh ooh! I wish I had this on tape (maybe I do. Gotta check my MIL). The DO said "In the near future, we will see if these ones are truly sheep like ones. Otherwise, they will be cut off and destroyed, as part of the sheep class." No lie, that is a quote!

Puritanical bastards. Cleavage is never a bad thing unless it's on a man.

Faulty argument. Jesus never said to form a "true Christian" organization. So a Christian organization
is formed without Jesus saying so, and they are free to do things that Jesus didn't talk about, like
building a printing empire and having large conventions every year.

Did your wife elbow you whenever someone was saying "Cleaveage is a BAD THING" ?

Interesting. I hadn't heard about the name change. Probably the lawsuit thing.

I noticed that the brother hit that part of the out line and had to stop and add the Christan congregation part in his head before saying it.

That was a clear we want you to start saying this not just Jehovah's organization.

I thought JW's were not Christians? What gives?

After 52 years on planet earth, someone tells me now that cleavage is bad? What was I thinking?

I had my SAD today. Nothing really grabbing, just same misapplied scriptures and -inducing experiences. Same old railing against higher education. One day expenses were over $4000!

Oh, and one more thing: the Bethelite was talking about the aftermath of Katrina, and how "only we had things organized," and the only other group of people he mentioned were "the drug addicts who wandered around like zombies." This meant the worldlies. What a terrible generalization!

This was too funny. This has too be the BEST statement in the history of words and spoken language.

With the above in mind, clevage is never bad. Today, I would pay to see (foreign) cleavage. The (uptight pioneer) sisters at the hall (I dated 17 years ago were very generous) had cleavage.

I even tried to salvage a bad date on the Rythm Nation Tour by boldy asking a sister if I could see her cleavage.

Sorry for going off on the tangent............you brought back memories.........Cleavage is good......

They should have provided examples of exactly what they meant by this cleavage stuff..................

I don't think they are going to get me to cancel my MySpace account without trolling, hacking, and making tons of mischief in my name. And, if they do that, they will get in a heap of trouble and open themselves for huge amounts of embarrassment.
