My co-workers are noticing and I could tell a big difference in the outfit I wore today. I didn't wear the little sweater I normally do. I took it off and showed off my smaller waist.
Nice! :)

wow everyone is doing so well! I am glad just to be off that damned plateau and losing weight again. I have gone down about three sizes in pants in the last month - not sure why. I guess my body is rearranging itself. We're halfway through the ten weeks, and everyone has lost at least a pound a week - most of you more than that.
I'm reading a really interesting book called Mindless Eating which is by a scientist who studies triggers that make people eat. Lots of interesting research, much of it quite surprising. The author says that info that companies use to get people to eat more of their products can also be used to cut down your eating. He says you can mindlessly eat less as well as mindlessly eating more. Some of his recommendations are to us taller narrower glasses, smaller plates and bowls, offer less variety, make sure half of each plate is vegetables, make deals with yourself (I can eat this if I do this). He says you can make policies for yourself too, such as I only drink clear non-calorie liquids, or I wait four hours before eating again. Identify three triggers (he lists lots of triggers) and make a plan for them. Rearrange your kitchen as he suggests to remove or hide triggers. He identifies five different problem behaviors and has specific suggestions for each problem. It's pretty good, learned some new things. I am planning to read it again and make a list for myself of his suggestions. The stuff they have learned through studies about perceived eating versus actual eating habits is surprising.
ok I've lost 1lb every day since Saturday through heavy physical work and sweating! I wish the panto I'm operating follow-spots for would run another couple of weeks!
emo - tucking into a pile of greasy battered haddock & chips (fries!) in the certainty that she'll have lost it all by the end of the night!
a pound a day - wow you must be working hard!
Ok, I'm finally checking back in. I'm happy to see everyone making such great progress. Not only have I not lost anything, but I have actually gained.
Company finally gone, and life trying to get back to normal. I will start from this point, and hopefully have something good to report next week.
Another three pounds! I'm so glad, that damned plateau lasted too long. I went up for a few days, was discouraged, but I was sick too. Now that I'm getting over bronchitis, the weight dropped, so I think it was just fluid and not real weight gain.
I have been home sick for 2 days and down 10 lbs from last Tuesday...23 lbs total since Dec 17th. The last time I lost weight this fast, I was on the divorce diet. My Sleepytowne pants are baggy in the seat...YAY!
Hi Sweetface - are you feeling better now? I lost another 3 pounds, so I'm pulling slightly ahead of the goal. Nice! also the weather is fabulous here right now, so going for a walk is a very attractive proposition. It was over 80 degrees today.
I forgot to post yesterday - I didn't lose any weight this week, sigh, but didn't cheat and did exercise, so I'm hoping this week will see better results.
Hey girl! I just found your comment from a week ago hoping I was feeling better. I'm not as tired, but I have somehow injured my right arm and haven't been able to exercise, let alone carry my purse or a bag or groceries. I'll probably be at the doctor tomorrow or the next day. I haven't weighed myself this week, but my jeans are loser everytime I wear them.
