  I respectfully disagree. I suspect there is as great a ratio of doubters in Bethel as there are out in the congregations. For the latter, however, they generally have jobs and can support themselves.
  
  At Bethel however, the count of those with skills that can translate into gainful outside employment has to be very low. That certainly must cause them to think twice about some rash decision no matter how much their conscience is stinging. The great temptation to flee has to tempered with reality.
  
  They undoubtedly know that there are many in local congregations who are laying low, perhaps for family sake, and in the meanwhile working their influence from the inside. This is certainly a noble cause despite what some may think about its lack of basic honesty. Hey, we're soldiers in a theocratic war; at least, that's what WT taught us. For a person in their forties or older there has to be a strong temptation to follow that undercover course since they know they have a warm bed and a full tummy.
  
  Ray Franz was certainly the exception. His conscience stung and he took action. It didn't hurt, however, that he was to have a $10,000 stipend to ease him and his wife into his new life. It didn't hurt that that bro Gregerson was there with a patch of property for his mobile home and potential to earn a few bucks on the side.

  By the WTBTS own definition, anyone who does not agree 100% w/ them is considered an apostate. That being the case, I would suspect that there are probably a few roaming the halls of bethel and all its other compounds.
