Are we suffering from a victim mindset?

Due to the nature of religious belief, it's impossible in my view to actually bring an organisation down. The WTS vanishing would be something I would dearly love to see, but until humanity has learnt enough to protect itself from religion and cults in general it won't happen.

So what religions do you consider secular? And what religions do you consider zealots? Name some specifically.

It would appear that something got lost in translation.

Not everyone feels the way you do - there are a LOT of injustices in the world. The WTBTS isn't the only evil organization. What are you doing about terrorists, for instance? There are lots and lots of causes, each of us has to do what we can for what matters to us. I personally have moved on, have other concerns. And, to balance things, I think all religions are evil - the JWs are just one part of that and not even the largest part. So, to answer the original question - yes, I think some are suffering from a victim mindset. To answer the other question that arose in the thread, why don't we all jump on the WTBTS's ass and whoop it - it isn't the same priority for everyone. You have to see that, or you will just be frustrated and bitter.

Now who is generalizing things every group has it's zealots even atheist to an extent. That is fore the most part the problem of individuals not the group. If an individual can not get with reality and goes out to do horrible things that is the individuals fault.

In the case of religion the groups fault is not helping the individual gain some grasp of reality and feeding them myth and opinion as a substitute for what is real and factual. Which aids them in having more zealots that kill in the name of their god instead of having zealots that argue ad nauseum on boards such as this as atheist and secular religious zealots do.

    What exactly is the goal?

You can't pull people to your rallying cry if they don't even know what it is.

Actually, I was thinking the other day that it's a damn good job that humans do die once they've had a chance to procreate and produce a fresh brain capable of casting aside fallacies. Just imagine the beliefs many would have today if we didn't.

When the Watchtower organization becomes irrelevant to the (wo)man in the street (oh wait... it already is), what then?

With one tenth of one percent (.1%) the society IS irrelevant. That is the problem. 99.9% of the population doesn't give a sh.

The society is only important to those obsessed with it.

Ask yourself this. Just how many have you been able to convince to convert by walking down the street? Any at all? So how do you destroy the cult? With knowledge from within the cult. Like planting a virus on a borg ship. The vast majority were forced into it by birth. Those are the ones who need to break free. Forget the older crowd. They are too engrained, they will fade and die. It's the youth that you need to communicate to. That's why this and other 'net sites will help destroy the cult. I found the best way to frustrate a Witness is to simply not talk to them. After all that's what 99.9% of the world does.
