can't see the WTS giving them the rights to use the tunnels since they run under the other JW property, they would want to keep these for use of just the bethelites. I don't know, although I'm sure the City (or Borough) has rules set up to manage things like this when they occur. In either case, I don't think the WTS would have much control over the matter, unless they are able to demolish the tunnels before the building sells, for which they'd need permits for anyway. In either case, it's up to the local government.

Do any former Bethelites here (from the 70s) remember when they excavated the tunnel to the Towers building and they nicked some old mysterious underground tunnel? Max Larson came up to the Farm and talked about it once and said they quickly sealed it up because they were afraid the Heights Historical Society would cause them trouble if they heard about it. Anyone else remember this? Later I heard about a tunnel that was discovered over by Atlantic Ave:
