I don't believe the last days are coming. People said 2000 then they said 2008 now its 2010.
The religious people want to believe that and they might make it happen.
Anyone here that DOES believe we are in the last days of this system?

I don't believe in the JW version at all, but I think there will be a huge global fight that includes Israel.
Jewish Zionist and those behind the scene have been gearing for this final battle for generations. When people/countries start turning on Israel, many people will do in the fallout of wars.
End of the world? No. But a global tragedy that will change the face of things.

Do I believe in a theological end to our existence?-no.
Do I believe in a physical end to our existence?-well it is a reality that our solar system is zooming along at 600 mph or so. I think we are bound to encounter some sort of catastrophic event.
The question becomes-just what do you do about it. In the grand scheme of things, we are a spec of dust in a universe of bits and pieces. No point in worrying about it. Unless you are taught to fear. Beware-be VERY aware!!!

I beleive we are living in the Last Days that Jesus said would come upon the earth. Prophecy is indeed undergoing fulfillment. JWs believe it, Baptist believe it and in fact anyone who truly beleives the Bible probably also believes it. Here is an excerpt from the Trumpet magazine.
"There is a radical difference between the Islamic Republic of Iran and other governments with nuclear weapons. IMHO this is serious stuff and even if it is 2010 before Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ushers in the Mahdi's arrival by starting a nuclear war, that's only two years away. Men cannot stop the global catastrophy that this religious fanatic and his crowd will usher in. Remember that Jesus said that if those days were not cut short there would be no flesh spared. The only hope we have IMO is to turn to God and not stick our heads in the sand and pretend that the end can't come. It can and it will.

I believe we are in the last days of the USA being a superpower. There are going to be BIG changes in the way the Government operates. Between the major devaluation of the dollar, lack of control at our borders, our constitution being thrown by the wayside, the many countries who are no longer our allies, among other things, points to a big change in the way we will be living. Things are being allowed by our government to get so bad, that they will soon say that the only way to fix things is to implement changes that they have been planning, such as paving the way for the North American Union, opening the borders, and changing our money as was done in Europe with the Euro.
There are detention camps here in the US that are just waiting to filled by those who will disagree with the changes that are coming. It sounds like science fiction, but in fact, it is reality.
When martial law gets declared here, and the miltary and such organizations as Blackwater are patrolling our streets looking for dissenters, and any others who say anything against the Government, no matter how small, will be rounded up, and put into camps.
We in the US have been so spoiled, that we think that there is no way these things can happen. These things have happened in other countries, why couldn't it happen in ours? People need to start realising that this is a reality, and a real threat, so that they can start preparing and stocking up for rough times ahead.
A good gauge to see the value-(or lack of) the dollar, is to see the value of gold. Gold is now over $900 an ounce! It has more than doubled in the past 2 years. It is the highest it has EVER been, and is forecasted to surpass the $1000 mark by the end of the year. There is a new "gold rush" happening as we speak. People are realizing that when the dollar becomes worthless, precious metals will still have value, and they will be able to buy things with their metals.
