I think this is evidence for the Clintons rigging at least one world series. I predict Chicago will win next. Notice the similarities in the hats?

But seriously, the hat is more similar to that of a medieval executioner. The reference to bloody judgement is obvious.

    alt

It was also the hat of the executed in medieval Spain. There are Spanish festivals to this day where penitents dress in this fashion.

Both of these are far more similar to the KKK headress than the Bishop's miter, IMHO

Another symbol used by such groups as the Klan, is the Christian Cross. They carry it, they "light" it by igniting it on fire.

So you mean that the Cross is a distinctive Clan symbol? Or just a flaming Cross? Being that a very large percentage of rural southern whites in the US are of Scots-Irish (or Ulster-Scot, take your pick) ancestry, the ancient symbol of the Crann Tara, the burning Cross, an ancient Scottish symbol of war, is an obvious throwback, an ancestral memory. Let me add that this demographic is overwhelmingly Protestant, which tends to explode your Catholic-connection theory.

The intent of my topic is to link the influence of secret societies and Babylonian religions to our modern day culture.

Cultswatter has shown on numerous occassions the link to occult symbols embedded in artwork within the pages of mags published by the WTS.

It is my interest to further explore this, especially through the symbolism being used within these groups.

If you have information to support this direction you are welcome to join in. If your purpose for posting here is for argument and dissention, please start your own thread. This thread topic is dedicated to Cultswatter in his endeavors to reseach these mysteries, also. Please bear this in mind as you contribute.

I would prefer to stay on topic and if anyone wishes to throw out subjects which distract from the theme, again, please start your own thread.

Note the mouth-shaped hat. Compare to the two-horned mitre worn by the Pope and Church officials today.

It's also interesting to note that the Pope's hat forms an EYE when viewed from the top looking down upon him.

The Alpha et Omega was an occult order, initially named the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, co-founded in London, England by Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers in 1888. [1] [

Fortune created an outer court for the A+O, for the purpose of attracting prospective initiates, initially called the Christian Mystic Lodge of the Theosophical Society, as a "guise", and then later known by its formal title, the Fraternity of Inner Light. [11]

Fortune later joined the Stella Matutina and was directly admitted into the Portal Grade. She later went on to found her own occult school, known as theSociety of the Inner Light. [13] [14]

Rosy Cross of the Golden Dawn

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (or, more commonly, the Golden Dawn) was a magical order of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, practicing a form of theurgy and spiritual development. It was probably the single greatest influence on twentieth century westernoccultism. Concepts of magic and ritual that became core elements of many other traditions, including Wicca, [1] [2] Thelema and other forms of magical spirituality popular today, are drawn from the Golden Dawn tradition.

The ichthys has been used to represent a number of ideas. The ichthys as adopted as a Christian symbol.

Societies of Christians in the early Roman Empire, prior to the Edict of Milan, protected their congregations by keeping their meetings secret. In order to point the way to ever-changing meeting places, they developed a symbol which adherents would readily recognize, and which they could scratch on rocks, walls and the like, in advance of a meeting. At the time, a similar symbol was used by Greeks to mark the location of a funeral, so using the ichthys also gave an apparent legitimate reason for Christians to gather [citation needed] . Another story suggests that the ichthys was used as a sort of secret handshake: one person would draw with a staff, or even a leg a single curve, (half of the ichthys) in the sand, and another person could confirm their identity as a Christian by completing the symbol [citation needed] . Alternatively, one would draw the symbol, and another person would confirm their faith by drawing an eye on it [citation needed] .

But the symbol, however, is not originally of Christian origin. It has been used for millennia as a representation of the Great Mother Goddess of the many pagan faiths. The fish symbol was often drawn by overlapping two very thin crescent moons. One represented the crescent shortly before the new moon; the other shortly after, when the moon is just visible. The Moon is the heavenly body that has long been associated with the Goddess, just as the sun is a symbol of the God. The link between the Goddess and fish was found in various areas of the ancient world: for instance, in China, Great Mother Kwan-yin often portrayed in the shape of a fish; in India, the Goddess Kali was called the "fish-eyed one"; in Egypt, Isis was called the Great Fish of the Abyss; in Greece the Greek word "delphos" meant both fish and womb (the word is derived from the location of the ancient Oracle at Delphi who worshipped the original fish goddess, Themis. The later fish Goddess, Aphrodite Salacia, was worshipped by her followers on her sacred day, Friday. They ate fish and engaging in orgies. In later centuries, the Christian church adsorbed this tradition by requiring the faithful to eat fish on Friday.) In ancient Rome Friday is called "dies veneris", or Day of Venus, the Pagan Goddess of Love; in Scandinavia, the Great Goddess was named Freya; fish were eaten in her honour; in the Middle East, the Great Goddess of Ephesus was portrayed as a woman with a fish amulet over her genitals.

    All-Seeing Eye - Eye of Providence October 18, 2006

The all-seeing eye, also called the Eye of Providence or Eye of God, has origins dating back to the Eye of Horus in Egyptian mythology. It has been adopted as part of the Great Seal of the United States, which shows the all-seeing eye floating on top of a pyramid. This can be seen on the back of the one dollar bill. It is often associated with conspiracy theories involving UFOs, the Illuminati or Freemasonry. It is also featured in the 2004 Disney film, National Treaure, and in J. R. R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy as the Eye of Sauron.

In cemeteries the all-seeing eye symbol is usually found associated with Freemasonry or the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, like the example here. The letters F, L and T inside the chain links stand for Friendship, Love, and Truth.

Knights Templar - In Hoc Signo Vinces

    September 23, 2006

This photograph is of a Masonic Knights Templar symbol showing a cross within a crown inside a Maltese cross, which has the Latin phrase, “in hoc signo vinces.” The phrase means “in this sign you shall conquer” and was used by Constantine as a military motto in the early 4th Century. The phrase was also used by the original Knights Templar military order that was founded during the Crusades. The Freemasons began using Templar rituals and symbols in the late 1700s.

Knights Templar legends and myths are quite popular in movies and books such as The Da Vinci Code , Foucault’s Pendulum , National Treasure , and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade . Some also see parallels between the Jedi Knights of Star Wars and the Knights Templar military order.

Order of the Eastern Star cemetery symbol - fatalThe Order of the Eastern Star (OES) is a female companion organization to Freemasonry. Men who are Master Masons may also join. Their primary symbol in cemeteries is a five pointed star with a tip pointing down, representing the Star of Bethlehem. In the example at right the letters are FATAL, which stand for Fairest Among Ten-thousand, Altogether Lovely.

    Knights Templar

    August 19, 2006

Knights Templar Cemetery SymbolThe Knights Templar have origins in the Middle Ages as protectors of Christian pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem. Many legends have grown up around this mysterious group, including a connection to the Holy Grail. In the late 18th Century the Freemasons adopted some Knights Templar rites and symbols (some believe there is a connection between the two groups). This explains why Knights Templar symbols found in cemeteries relate to the Freemasons. The symbol here shows a Maltese cross surrounding a cross inside a crown.

The gravestone below shows three Freemason related symbols, from left to right: Freemason, Knights Templar, Shriners.

Kohanim or Cohanim Hands - Priestly Blessing November 1, 2006

On Jewish tombstones you will sometimes see a symbol showing two hands arranged for the Priestly Blessing like the example here. This is a symbol of the Kohen or Cohen (Hebrew for priest). The plural form is Kohanim or Cohanim. Kohanim are assumed to be direct male descendants of Aaron, who was the first Kohen and the brother of Moses. Some Jewish surnames frequently associated with this symbol are Conn or Cohn (Kohn), Cahn (Kahn), and Cohen (Kohen), but you will find the symbol on the grave markers of people with other surnames. Today families can sometimes verify a priestly lineage from the tombstones of ancestors that have this symbol.

And yes, Star Trek fans… You’ve probably noticed the similarity between this symbol and the Vulcan hand greeting (”live long and prosper”) used in the TV show and movies. This was suggested by actor Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock), who saw the Priestly Blessing in a synagogue when he was a child. He modified it as Vulcans use only one hand. See: The Jewish Origin of the Vulcan Salute

The Hebrew letters beneath the hands in the example above mean “ha-Kohen” or “the Cohen.”

Notice in the inset the crown and the cross. The cross is leaning at a 33rd degree angle.

And although all of these orders claim to be "christian" the origins of many of the symbols are actually military.
