I chased a little boy down on the playground when I was in the first grade. When he was 16, he told me he shouldn't have ran so hard. But he's still a friend, just haven't seen him in YEARS. He had the most beautiful brown eyes I've seen to this day.

First grade, 6 years old. We were standing beside each other waiting in line for the water fountain...during recess.
He leaned over and quickly kissed me on the lips and took off running outside...

It was the summer of 1967, a dreamy summer night. S.E. Louisiana, Morgan City to be specific. My parents and older sister were with the local theater group called The Footlighters. One of the members of the group, a distinguished older lady, had a cast party at her charming older home. On the grounds was a "summer house." A glassed in outbuilding with walls of glass doors that opened opened onto a veranda and the doors were all screened. But I digress. It was just magical to go into at night and it set a very romantic mood, even for an 8 year old girl. Apparently for one "older guy", probably a fifth or sixth grader, as well.
The teenagers had either records or the radio playing the top 40 hits. The younger kids were playing tag. The older guy, by the name of Kirk (curly blonde hair, adorable dimpled chin) was "IT." As A Kind of Hush by Herman's Hermans played in the background, Kirk chased me. I ran as fast as I could. I hated being "IT" : I was too slow to catch anyone and could stay it for an hour. Well, before I knew it, Kirk had caught me and swept me off my feet, or rather knocked me to the ground. Before I knew it, he placed a loooooong, passionate kiss on my cheek. It was of course completely unexpected and it took my breath away.
To this day I am dizzied by the memory. I don't know what inspired him to kiss me that way. Maybe I was more irresistable than I remember, with my snaggle tooth grin and cut-by-mom hair-do. I don't know, but, "Kirk, if you're out there, I will never forget that night. Everytime I hear A Kind of Hush, I swoon."

Yeah = I'm sure JWs were much like my experience of girls absent a father figure around and a mother who told me (aged 11) I was the new dad to the family within months of his death wtf (after she'd seen the psychologist) How I despise those guys!!
So mum had had her teen dreams and now went for the jugular as I paid with all of mine as she went on her life cruise! That's how it was!
Traces of JW life before I ever was one = I was groomed for them so well.
Sure some of you had given it all away cuz god was watching how well you did at NOT acting like a HUMAN!!

It was on my aunts front porch, he kissed me on the cheek , for the next 24 hours i felt like i was floating, it was the most amazing feeling.
I never saw him again but heard years later that he had died of aids, in the early 80's, he was gay.
A few years later I married a closeted gay JW.
Is there a lot of gay folks around, or is it just me??

aSPinaC,
I imagine some are overinfluenced by 'overimpressionst' exposure to role models ?
Early years teachers tend to be female and also one parent families are predominantly female oriented = maybe that's a factor in role model imprinting?
So you need some guys who love women like me for example! That's all.

My first kiss I was 16 years old, he was 20. I went on a double date with my girlfriend and her boyfriend, they got a guy for me.
We went to a show, he wanted to kiss me, it was my first kiss, he put his tongue in my mouth, I was wondering what he was doing.
I bit his tongue and I was thinking I don't like kissing. He told my girlfriend he didn't want to see me no more, I said that is OK with me.
