There's nothing really particularly wrong about the Left Behind books - as long as they are read for what they are - FICTION!!!!
The problem is that some Christians seem to have a problem separating truth from fiction (waits for someone to lift this sentence completely out of context!). They've fallen hook, line and sinker for this money-spinning racket and seem to believe that as it is 'Biblically based' fiction, it is an accurate description of what must happen - whereas the Bible is actually quite vague about the order of events.
It's the gullible sheeple who need refuting, not the books, although the apparent failure of the authors to publish disclaimers doesn't particularly help either
