Number of brothers to sisters

Can some one tell me how many brothers and how many sister there were in your cong. Or does any one know total world wide.

I dont know the ratio but in 72 I found a sister at the hall and that along with other things kept me trapped in the tower till 83.

That sister ratio thing was probably my only favorite thing about the org! After my first marriage failed, my life became a bit of a circus for awhile....geeze I felt like a rock star thanks to da sistas!...........................................oompa

there was a rumor going round in my old hall (cause us chicks out no. the bros. like 3 to 1 and single chicks it was even worse) that if you were a JW chick and you REALLY wanted to find a man, go to alaska or russia, cause those two places the dudes outnumbered the chicks.

At the meetings there was often an equal mix in the younger crowds. In field service, it was by far more females then males. In the older crowd, the woman were also a large number of attendees. Woman are often at meetings, field service, etc, more. As the Witnesses live by the out-dated thinking that men should be the main bread winner and they also tend to live longer. Not to mention, it is not really that unusual in most faiths, for the females to be more active members, then the males.

You young sisters should have come to Memphis Tennessee. When I was young the brothers vastly outnumbered the available sisters.

I remember that Circuit Assemblies were like a sea of suits, with just a few dresses here and there. District Conventions were better, it was about even. The few available single girls either went for the gung-ho elders-in-training or left altogether (the smart ones!) Most of the young horny brothers (like me) went to out of town congregations to scope out the ladies. (Yes, I know - it's pretty lame, but we were desperate!)

Ironically, my daughter, who still goes to a congregation in Memphis, says that the situation is still pretty much the same. The brothers still outnumber the sisters.
