My understanding is that the Kingdom Hall belong to the WTS.
Years ago I worked with an insurance brokerage firm that handled the property and GL insurance for the WTS and I was assigned their account to oversee their insurance program.
The WTS owned not only the KH's but also the assembly halls.
I do not believe this has changed.

God never wanted what mankind has built in place of a one to one relationship with him. Mankind says lets make a big deal bow down worship God kill a Virigin or two if things get bad. That was all mankind's doing. All God wanted was to be alone with you on earth spend some quality time one to one. Earth is the only place he can do that. Spoon 50% of all life will be removed from earth. Don't fear death embrace it and you will save your life.
