Yep. It's like moving to a new area and it's only after a certain number of years (usually many many years! lol) are you accepted as a "local/native". That's kind of what it's like here for me, even though I've been here for over three years, don't really feel like a "local/native" yet.

A little difficult, yes. Not sure why that is. Very afraid of being 'found out' so can't post as much as I'd like. Hopefully that will change.

For me it is the unknown. Not knowing who you are communicating with, and then having to deal with no feed back. A big part of discussion board life I suppose.
Kind of like fishing, only you are a fish too.
