Between those it would be 360. But with this disclaimer. I no longer purchase consoles. I have had more fun upgrading my PC with graphics cards and the like to never touch a console again. I like the freedom that I have to upgrade and actually work on my own PC if something goes wrong, instead of paying for some over priced brick like a console.

PS3 is my choice, but I don't have one yet. Still plugging along on a PS2. When Resident Evil 5 is released, that's when I'll break down and buy one.
I think Sony hurt themselves by making the PS3 so expensive. Sure the price dropped $100, but it started out at $600!
The only reason I won't buy a 360 is because of Microsoft. I hate Microsoft! They own everything, so if I can play games without them, that's what I'll do!

I've got a PS3
Sure there aren't many games out for it yet but..
It has built in wifi which allows me to play downloaded movies on my tv rather than my computer monitor.
On line gaming is FREE
It has a built in blue ray player (HD disc is now dead in that water now that toshiba have abandonned the format and the movie rental stores are only doing blue ray disks)
Plus its reliable, none of this red disk of death you get on the xbox

Oh btw, have you give the PSP(Playstation Portable) a thought?
I'm not sure how much you know about it but it's an awesome little system that's basically a hand held PS2. Along with playing games and UMD movies, you can browse the internet with it, and store photos and music. They've even come out with a "slim" version of it recently. Even though I don't play it nearly as much as the PS3, it still is a must have in my opinion.

My son has a PS3 & Wii. He likes the Wii but gets burned out with it. He absolutely loves the PS3. Even though they don't have too many cool PS3 games out yet, but you can still play all your PS2 games on it. Watching the blueray dvd's is cool too.

A PSP is a good option as well, like has been suggested. I got my son one for x-mas. We've got a program on our PC where we can convert DVD's, CD's, and games over to the PSP. It also holds music & photo's. It's basically just like his PS3 but in a hand held unit.

PS3, hands down. Sure, game selection is not as big as the 360 right now, but just wait, that will change soon.
Built in WiFi
Free online play
Blu Ray disc player
Motion sensor controls
Games I have:
Call of Duty 4
Turok
Assasin's Creed
Star Wars Lego-The complete saga
Unreal Tournament 4
Plus about 20 PS2 games
