Written by Eckhart Tolle. Are any of you going to take the internet class conducted by Oprah and Eckhart starting Monday March 3rd at 9:00 EST?

If the "new heavens" is cyberspace, Internet or web, then "new earth" would be people empowered with Internet.

If you are talking about the witless version, the "new heaven" is that oppressive rulership that is going to absolutely dictate every little thing that anyone is allowed to do, and most people will find themselves never ever experiencing any of the things they want. The "new earth" is a stagnant system where no one ever does anything for personal pleasure or their own needs, but all for the big machine run by God Himself.

Yes, I'm doing it. It's my crazy work time, but I'm doing it.

No, WTWizard, I just pick up things here and there and put them on a collage.

Yes, I've enrolled. Reading his first book, The Power of Now, changed my life dramatically. I've been posting on the Oprah board, and watching the fundamentalists get their undies all bunched up over this - quite a spectacle.

Have not read Tolle's new one. Power of Now helped a couple clients of mine, so my impression of it being a little ham-fisted at times may be off. It certainly points to the difference of being head-bound versus present.

Will have to pick up New Earth.

I'm reading the book now and plan on doing the class. It makes sooo much sense.

I have not read "The Power of Now" but everyone seems to rave about it. Is it much different from "The New Earth" or pretty much the same?

It is in a question answer format and deals more directly with what enlightenment is and how to bring it forth. The core message is the same: remain in the present moment, observe and accept "what is", recognize ego so that attachment to it can dissolve.

I am a fan of Tolle - I bought that book for my father for christmas - I'll be reading it soon. I hope it's going to be a good read.
