Hi Dagney,
Saw most of it and the following segment on amber - yes, fascinating.
It was difficult deciding what to settle in with as "Mama's Family" and "American Idol" were on adjacent tele channels.
LOVE NOVA!

Thank God (I mean that in a purely colloquial way) for PBS and NPR.
Nova and Frontline are two of the best shows ever.

I love Nova, too. And Scientific American Frontiers. And The This Old House Hour. And Charlie Rose. And Antiques Roadshow. And they've been playing Jane Austen flicks on Masterpiece Theatre and she's my favorite. The boys love Barney and Caillou. Guess we're just a PBS family.

Does anyone else like "American Experience"? It's a mini-series that takes American history a little at a time, and goes into some interesting details that most TV docs don't get into. Who needs cable?

I love all those shows! (well, maybe not so much Barney and Calliou.)
Last night's episode about the four winged dinosaur was fascinating. It sounds like Larry Martin and his Birds Are Not Dinosaurs camp are grasping at straws trying to keep alive their hypothesis that birds evolved from a different branch of the reptillian tree than dinosaurs.
Great Shows! Love Nova and PBS!!

it was so cool watching that program with my nearly 17 YO son and have him making side commentary about aerodynamics from his processes class from last year.....
the model of the microraptor in the wind tunnel at MIT was fascinating and watching all researchers just light up like little kids when the "canopied" rear feathers supported xu's theory.... priceless!!

I'm a Nova fan. I only watched the last part of that episode last night.
