Because I'm half Ukrainian I celebrate it twice a year - regular Easter and Ukrainian Easter.

Even as a JW I exercised my right to be a hypocrite, and ate chocolate Easter Bunnies whenever I could.

And for those who don't like hard boiled eggs, try putting a little horseradish on them. Yum!!!

"Here comes Peter Cottontail...hopping down the bunny trail...hippity hoppity Easter's on it's way....."

Yes. Yes. And Yes again!!! I already have the baskets, candy, toys and grass all ready to go! Hubby and I get a visit too! I remember my grandma putting out easter baskets for us when we spent the night and there is nothing sweeter than biting off that chocolate rabbit ear! This will be our third Easter. I did baskets for us all the first year, we wound up traveling for a family emergency last year, but the bunny found the kids, this year we all get a visit again! It is sooooooo much fun shopping and thinking of the memories the kids will have! I really missed not going to church last year for the special services, so we will have to go this year! Our first year we went to a Baptist church and it was beautiful! This year will be our new church that we've gone to for a year and a half. I can hardly wait!

I will and it will be in the Christian Orthodox way...With fasting, praying, attending to the Eucharist, Holy Communion, living the Passion of Christ...

I will try to go to the Holy Land and attend to the Reserrection service in the Temple of Jesus Grave, and be witness to the appearance of the Holy Light, that lights the candles of the Christians.

The miracle of the Holy Light it is a greatest events of the Christian Orthodox Church that is dating back to the 7th century A.D. and it is happening after the Bishop of Jerusalim enters the Holy Grave (that is sealed from the Israel police) and he announces that the Lord had ressurected from the dead...after that the Holy Light appears lights all the candles in the Church.

Yes I will celebrate the "easter" as you are saying or Passover as we Christian Orthodox know it. This 40 days we are living Jesus Passion something that I never had in the WT world, Because Christian faith It is all about Jesus and this faith and tradition was kept through the centuries by the Church

Last year we did things a bit differently. We had a proper passover meal with all the traditions and ended of by breaking bread and drinking wine together. It was very special. The next day we over indulged in chocolates!!
