Toronto Weeps: Jeff Healey Passes Away (41 yrs. old)

I am not sure how many of you folks know about Canadian, singer / songwriter: Jeff Healey.

He's one of the most talented persons to come out of Toronto and make it on the international stage.

We lost a good one yesterday. Sunday, March 2, 2008.

An amazing musician. One I had the good fortune of meeting. A real true gentleman.

A voice...that sent shivers through my spine at times.

I had no idea that Jeff was so ill.

Not a man to draw unnecessary attention to himself; no wonder we found only now.

Oh no! I weep here in the US. He was one of my favorite gutarists of all time, absolutely brilliant. I will surely miss him.

I never knew Jeff was blind or what he looked like until I saw Roadhouse. I had won tickets to a premier opening of the movie in Boston.

He will be missed.

What sad news. I saw Jeff Healey play here in the UK in the mid '90s. A truly talented musician. It is a such a shame that cancer has robbed another family of a son, husband and father.
