i would like the WT to sotp abusing witness. but if thay ever did that it might just lead to the end of the "society", at least as it is now.

The WTS is destroying the WTS.

We help free more people though by revealing the misdoings.

The org is slowly being strangled by those at the top, for example W.L. "Lloyd" Barry's signing for the U.N. - WTS liason.

So far an implosion but it is gaining momentum. When the child molestation thing (silentlambs.org) gets on Dateline NBC it could explode the ship.

    I agree with lionel...

Remember that line from the matrix?

"Remember, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. Most of them are so innerved, so helplessly dependent on the matrix that they will do anything, even fight to keep it."

Anyways, I think that's how he says it...

After i found out they were fakers, i thought my posing the tough questions would get some of my friends or family out. It didn't, but it got me dfd. I thought of going to kingdom halls during meetings, copying all the car liscence numbers, from those, getting their names, addresses, phone numbers, and mailing them all antwt stuff.

On a more practical level, lobbying the govt to tax them and stop all door to door canvassing by any religions would be enough. Let god do his own preaching.

    *sigh*,

they are dreams and remain just that. many of them cannot be reached...everything's just too ingrained. I hope to help my family to get out, but beyond that....that's a touch one.

Re: this theory that many witnesses "need" the organization, that many of them would collapse like jellyfish if the org suddenly disappeared:

    HORSESHIT.

You are fine, they'll be fine. In fact, better off.

Shocked, confused, frightened, but mostly, just surprised. Then they would get up the next morning and go to work. Or, better yet, stay home from "service".

If it suddenly ended, it would be ALL good.

    Mindchild,

I think the most constructive fate for Jehovah's Witnesses as an organization would be for them to become anti-religionists and evolve a new constructive moral and belief system that celebrates life and self growth.

Man, you are a dreamer, aren't you? lol. It is interesting though, just how many ex-witnesses become essentially what you said.

Just like I wanted to tell everybody the "trooth"
when I was going door to door and was unable
to understand how the householder could not
see the "trooth" I now am still amazed that those
in the "trooth" can't see the "Truth"

However many of the previous posts have very
well expressed the thought of why people will
not consider change and often can not afford
to accept change. Esp. rapid change so maybe
it is God's plan/purpose/foreordination that the
WTS will "evolve" into a bland, generic, toothless
boring mainstream religion. May take several
"generations" but will happen for sure.
