8 little witnesses serving God in Heaven??????
I was beginning to think the only replies I would get to this would be the pukey emoticon (which is about how I felt anyway)
The fiesty responses to this kind of pablum are why I read this site -- Classic poetic response, the real story behind why so many have left, and rational look the lame associations between leaving and petty behavior.
You guys do not disappoint!
I don't want to disappoint you.........
Makes me want to.......
I remember part of my waking up process. Some elder gave a lecture about the spiritual man and the fleshly man - and I realized I am fleshly through and through. Part of the wrecking crew. Well, people who parrot crap like that don't have any real thinking process. If they could reason, they'd puke too.
Not Feeling It - excellent nom de plume!
JeffT - way to go!
I was really getting into it, the whole first half - brilliant satire, what a lampoon, must've been written by a 'postate for sure - then the heaves came in, OMG, cuold anyone possible get sucked into that pablum?
But I think I'll copy those first lines, and combine it with JeffT's for my personal stash of tidbits...!

You should send a reply to the moron who sent this to you showing them the YouTube video from "V" with just how many field service hours they'd have to spend to get those converts mentioned at the end. They'll never live that long!
Hopefully, by the time it got down to the last witless, a (or several) book(s) that criticize the Bible and put it in its proper prospective become big sellers. These books are themselves as well written, if not better than, the Bible itself (at least one is), and hits big. So all the studies start reading it, and realize that the Bible isn't for them. The one person that still insists on following the Bible lands on an apostate Web site and realizes that the Watchtower Society isn't upholding the Bible as they claim, and that study goes kaput too.
Then, this one last witless finds himself knocking on doors endlessly. The best he can do is get "Not Interested". In the course of a year, he gets pepper sprayed twice, attacked by vicious dogs 5 times, and threatened with a gun once. And, the police are called on him more than a dozen times. Not one person comes into the cancer through this. Finally, they pass a law that bans the use of initiatory force, threat of force, or fraud against another person or their property (that passes as a constitutional amendment), in order to reign in governmental agencies that are abusing their power. This applies to the Watchtower Society, and soon they are banned for their scams.
Then, the e-mails start going right in the spam filters along with the emails for get-poor-quick scams and porn sites with viruses attached.
Glad I left the borg before email. That was ridiculous!

Thanks VoidEater. I decided on that name and joining this site after having a particularly long conversation with my father (a very moderate elder) regarding why I haven't been to meetings/service/etc... for 10 years. I was a fader before I knew what one was here.
At one point in the conversation I said something to the effect of there may be a spiritual need for some and I'm not discounting what religion does for many as a revolutionary life changing process, but I am simply not feeling it. I can't say I have that spiritual need at least not that I miss. Maybe my life hasn't been hard enough. Maybe I take too much for granted. I don't know but I like how things are going for my wife and I. I wouldn't change anything.
I love my father and I respect his and many JW's beliefs. However, I think that the majority of JW's are self-righteous and judgemental like the thoughts expressed in this "loving" little rhyme.

I'm not so sure about the noticing. I think leadership and the R&F do notice to an extent. But... (as PeeWee Herman said "Everybody has a really big but") I think that your average or majority JW see the churn as sifting the disloyal or gleaning the wheat from the weeds, narrow door, broad road to destruction or some other trite analogy for why people are "not of our sort" and then they can conveniently abandon them without even once unclamping thier hands from thier ears to listen to intelligent debate and MAYBE, even POSSIBLY change into an organization that is rational and accepting of other views (never mind all that false prophesy).

StAnn, I have told several people that I don't care to read forwards that are judgemental. In this case it would cause more trouble than its worth. I'm not much for bashing old ladies who won't live that long anyway
Glad you all "enjoyed" that post. Everyone can use a good groan every now and again.
Have a nice weekend!
