I lived in Oak Ridge for a while with my parents..we had snow that year. They said it was the first snow they had in years..course it was only 1/4 inch or so but they were so excited.
We were up in the mountains but it didn't seem like the weather varied much..never really freezing and never real hot..
But the thunder storms would scare the bejesus out of you! It seemed like the lightning came in one window and went out the other. The thunder was so loud your chair would shake and you couldn't block the noise out even with a pillow .
Here in Missouri there has been a lot of snow. It's been pretty cold but I don't think we ever got to the single digits more that once or twice.
Right now you can feel spring in the air..I can't wait . I too love working in the yard..
