That tells me nothing. I want to know how it is "Incorporated" ---he who controls the money, makes the final decisions.

Since the GB represents the FDS I would like to know how the FDS selects their representtives.

Fair Mind, good point. Do all of the anointed vote for their representatives? LOL
I think it's very telling that this is nothing more than a publishing company when the ones who decide how to spend the contributions are on the publishing committe. Since this is allegedly a religion, you'd think service and ministry would have first dibs at the money.

An even better title would be:
How the Faithful and Discreet Slave Communicates with their representatives, the Governing Body.
I would like to see them write an article about that.

I wonder how the apostles would react to this arrangement of committees or, for that matter of fact, to the whole idea of a world wide publishing empire? They did not feel the need of distributing literature to build faith.
Paul and the other evangelizers counted on word of mouth witnessing. One senses that Paul did not need to consult with a "governing body" to perform his ministry. While he accepted the commendations of the apostles, he did not need their permission. He said he was directed by "holy spirit." That was enough!

They acts as representatives of the faithful and discreet slave class.
And who chose them? Did they send out proxies to the 8,000 pluse members of this class to vote?

RR makes a good point. Back in CTR's day, elders were ELECTED by the congregations, and I *think* that same democratic process went up the organizational tree as well.
Rutherford knew that he couldn't count on the votes of even his anointed "fellow slaves," so the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY abandoned the "bottom-up" selection method and imposed a "top-down" rule instead. That same "top-down" rule is at work today. Oh, yeah, I forgot - Jehovah and Jesus sit at the tippy-top of the organization, so it isn't mere men who are securing their positions of power, they are Jehovah's choice, and they'll tell you so!

They forgot to mention the legal dept.

I find it very interesting that the first sentence in the article is a lie , an untruth. It says, " The governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses consists of dedicated men who are anointed servants of God. " That is not entirely true. There are members of the great crowd on that governing body , are there not ?
Not to my knowledge. As far as I know, everyone on the Governing Body are still (supposedly) of the 'annointed' class. There are some younguns on there now for sure----looks like they're in their mid to late 50s, but of course this buys them some much needed time. Assuming that these younger members of the GB live until they're in their 80s or 90s, that gives them another 30 or 40 years to play around with when "the End" is coming.
