So -- who (or what) is this "Jehovah," anyway?

Realone might actually pray out loud, not just in his head. It's more pious that way

Realone should post his prayer here, instaed of keeping it secret.

So it's more logical to conclude that a big explosion happened and it just so happened that this one planet landed at just the right place to make life possible? Then somehow some parts came together without a maker but by chance to create a complex item called a cell? Then somehow these cells came together to create a variety of creatures that evolved into a variety of species who just so happen to coexist perfectly into a society?

That seems logical but if I suggested to you that I found a deserted island with this car on it -- and since I was sure the island had never been inhabited, that the car must have gotten there by some parts just falling there like that? The assumption that there was a car maker would be completely untrue unless we could prove the existance of said car maker?

I once knew of a jehovah, in fact I used to even worship him. But, it turned out that he didn't know me. At least his representatives here on the earth didn't know the real me. I guess that i was misinformed about the possibility that perhaps he was just another god, worshipped by an ancient people.

I do, however, believe that there at one time was a creator. To be worshipped? That's another question.

Realone...........tsk tsk tsk You cannot begin to fathom the complexity of the jw or ex jw mindset. You never walked in our shoes nor did you recieve the ABUSE that has been laid upon US!!!

SO DON"T carry on as though you are one of us.....AND DON'T YOU DARE THINK THAT YOU CAN JUDGE OR CONDEMN OUR ACTIONS!!!!!!!

It certainly strikes me as more logical given that, of the hundreds of planets known, only one happened to land in a suitable place for life. It doesn't seem like the work of an intelligent creator. Why put most of the planets in the wrong place?

Then somehow some parts came together without a maker but by chance to create a complex item called a cell?

I know of nobody who seriously advances a hypothesis that something as complex as a cell came about by chance. (Except perhaps creationists who believe a big invisible man came about by chance)

Then somehow these cells came together to create a variety of creatures that evolved into a variety of species who just so happen to coexist perfectly into a society?

While poorly stated, this is (something like) what we know actually happened. It's quite clear that all life on earth has evolved from a common ancestorm, although the idea that they "coexist perfectly" is laughable.

That seems logical but if I suggested to you that I found a deserted island with this car on it -- and since I was sure the island had never been inhabited, that the car must have gotten there by some parts just falling there like that?

Why would you notice the car there? Isn't it because the car, which is quite obviously engineered is quite different from everything else on the island?

The assumption that there was a car maker would be completely untrue unless we could prove the existance of said car maker?

An examination of the car would show that it has no ability to replicate itself so we would know that it is not a life form of any sort. A close examination of its parts would show that they were machined, molded, cut down and fitted together, unlike any form of life, byproduct thereof or indeed any natrual object. It's significant differences from everything in the natural world show that unlike them, it must have a maker. Obviously, it's absurd to use this clear difference between the natural and artificial to try to prove that natural things are artificial too.

Let's see. In the great debate whether God exists (under the Latinized name of Yaweh, i.e. Jehovah), I will have to take the side of 'real one' on this one.

Thanks so much for saying that.............I just couldn't understand what was going on with Realone until you said that. Now it makes sense. I have been here a little over 2 months and was afraid to ask, there doesn't seem to be a profile for him. He sure didn't sound like the JW MO. Why are you here Realone, I am curious. I myself am certainly not into hearing about all this Jesus and praying talk for every problem and subject. I need something more practical than that.

I suppose you are referring to your god? Jesus or yhwh? Or, would that be your father who raised you? Realone senior. Is he dead and passed to the other side?
