This is actually a great point being made here. I would love to see the real stats of the society if you "fakers" would please stop counting ghost time. How are we supposed to track what is really going on inside the tower if you keep messing with the numbers? Lilly
Flaky JWs drag down the Cong Performance Stats. Doncha' hate that? ;-)

I suppossed was studying with my daughter since the day she was born. gradual I increased it to 2 hours a month ( and that is all I would report). I never read anything to her more meaty than Dr Suess. I wasn't going to have my baby scared by the end of the world stories.

I always turned in 10 hours for YEARS. I never even counted hours I just put 10 and walked off... Might be 1 might be 15 was usually probably about 8 or so. The FUNNY thing is that after I faded I found out for at least a year (possibly as long as 2) was that the secretary kept turning in 10 hours for me every month. I had become an out and out atheist and this goober is still filling out a time sheet for me every month... Silly silly silly... Now multiply that by at least 5 people per hall then that number by however many halls there are in US Canada European countries and that's a shit load of hours...

I wonder what happens when you drop below zero. That is, when you do more apostate activity and dissuasion than you do active field circus. Then again, you might be able to spend more time at Starbucks (and put the money there instead of in the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund) once every few months, and count that as an hour of field circus.
Good idea for those who are still in. That way, they won't know what to do--and they will waste more time on you that could have been spent on other matters.

....if there really was a jesus, the son of god, on earth who started christianity....could you see him getting pissed off at his followers for not preaching for a specified amount of time each month ?

Low-Hour Publisher (5-10 hrs/month) - Man, you're tough. I would call this slightly below average. To me, this is the perfect range. Not enough to get appointed, too much to get the sheparding call that the next category will get. Basically, you'll be in the majority of the congregation and therefore under the radar.
This was my confort zone. Rarely did I report over 10 hours. When I reported less than 5 I would report 8 hours the next month. Unfortunately, this did not keep me off the radar. I maintained MS status for many years and ended up as elder for three years before I began to fade from sight.

I think I'm going to start the "irregular" to "inactive" bit for the remainder of my time in the bORG. The thing is, I've only avergaed about one meeting a month for the past few months. Do you think that's enough to keep turning in some time every few months?

Don't forget the laid-off Bethelites who gave 30 to 40 years of their youthful years to
their wonderful "family" at Headquarters. They got screwed over, so they should screw back.Take the Special Pioneer assignment. Take the small monthly stipend and ask the
congregation for room and board and whatever they can get you. Work a bit with the group
and actually be visible for 20 hours a month or so.Get a decent job and write down whatever the special pioneer hours are on your monthly
slip. Cut back from 20 hours a month to 10 highly visible hours, claiming a bunch of time
with your wife/husband/other special pioneer. -

I don't see how inflating your time "gets them back" in any way. It just makes them look better in their own eyes.

On a further note, i think what the Society would really hate is the haphazard "placement" of their literature. It's getting increasingly expensive for them to produce it. So instead of inflating your hours, how about taking dozens of books from the literature counter and "placing" them in creative ways? (i.e. throwing them into the trash).
