This so reminds me of the saying that everything happens for a reason which then gives you the all clear to say you must have left for a reason!

Amazing how they turf someone out and then if its a mistake its also ok!

Meaning they dont suffer any mistakes thsy make!

Which is why it is so infuriating how they tear families up and do lifelong shunning as if they are right!!!

Some of you may recall the WT account of an older brother who was counselled for something relatively minor by a younger elder.

When it was found that this older man was not guilty of the matter in question, some time later, the young elder came up to him, apologised, and asked why he didn't say anything.

His response was that 'rightly or wrongly it was good counsel'!

This was held out to publishers as the correct attitude. Doesn't matter if it's TRUE or not just bend over and take it.

bigmouth, I remember that story, only it was a GB member. He told an older GB member to absolutely NOT touch anything on his desk. He arrived later to find his things rearranged neatly and was furious at the other GB member and gave him some counsel about minding his own business or respecting others or somesuch. Later, it was discovered that housecleaning had moved his stuff. He went back and apologized to the other GB member, asking why he didn't defend himself. The other brother just said, "Guilty or not, it was good counsel!"

Well, I'm sorry. I guess I'm just not a "team player". I will NOT bend over and take it in the rear while the guilty parties are shown favoritism.

    Can anyone say POLITICS !!!!

This story just sickens me. Their "reasoning" behind this makes me think of politicians and their bull$h*t propaganda.

Truth is truth, lying is wrong. These elders actions are deplorable for what they did to the innocent brother... And, the innocent brother is an idiot for playing along. Of course I don't mean to insult him personally, I have a great deal of pity for the situation he was in... but it just makes my blood boil to hear this account and how they manipulated the situation to cover up the scandal.

To me, this just sounds like another BS "example" they made up in order to "encourage" you. Not that it did that by any means. Either it is a made up story or they don't receite the full example with details.

The greater good is to DO THE RIGHT THING NO MATTER HOW BAD IT MAKES YOUR PAST ACTIONS LOOK!!!!

I totally agree with you. Your statement makes total sense to me because we are no longer under their control. Their minds have been manipulated so much that they cannot comprehend what "doing the right thing" means.
