I second this motion, Richard Dawkins is clear and succinct and is a great source of information if you want to begin to learn about evolution. His books cover beginner to intermediate levels of evolutionary biology, which I have found very, very helpful.

SNG is a poster on JWD who prepared these short articles showing some of the more strikingly obvious proofs that evolution has occurred. And for balance, there are usually creationist posters on these threads that attempt to show why the proof is not proof at all. Enjoy!
