Being so popular, it may only be a matter of time before this becomes a pay site.
That would defeat a lot of the purpose of JWD. People need to accidently happen upon this site. If it's a pay site, that's not going to happen. This site is here to help people wake up or support them once they have left.
Sometimes when you really want to log on, you just cant.
There are TONS of non pay sites that DO NOT GO DOWN as MUCH as JWD.

This site has been working fine for a period of about 6 months, until about a week and a half ago. At which point, it started being so grudging, more than half the time sending the error page instead of the site itself or lagging for more than 10 minutes. It is usually been about 5 minutes on, 10 minutes off--that has been fluctuating with time.
I am hoping that better servers will eventually be found--with computer technology unregulated and expanding as quickly as it is, bandwidth prices are actually going down (at a time when everything else is going up), along with computer prices. As for becoming a pay site, it might be such for people that post but not those who need to stumble on it. Even that will not slow traffic--if you have people that stumble on it (and end up out of the cancer), the traffic will still be there. And yes, I have been clicking on some of the ads on this site, including one from which I bought a few Christmas candles for my windows.

If it becomes a pay site, That will be the end of JWD. I've seen other very popular boards dissintegrate for far less than that.
