there probably will always be some form of religion, primtive or advance. I believe that man is getting a lot more intellectual though and that perhas in a few hundred years there will be a wonderful age of enlightenment and more peace but then will fall again into dark ages - a continual circle of up and downs if that makes sense

I've always viewed religion or organized religion as sort of a container for faith. Faith is a wild belief in anything without any proof. Religion, acting as a container, gives the faith shape and direction by providing explanations or "proof", whether true or false.
