What was worse was calling on my teachers too! Then, some would buy the mags, then darn I had to do return visits!

Plus, the only reason I was out in service was because of the delicious regular pioneer that I was in love with!!!

I can attest to that one. There was a pioneer brother that was drop dead gorgeous and he toyed with many a woman in my day. He used to asked to work with me and it was all I could do to keep my mind on the sermon. And then he went to Bethel... I always sneakingly suspected he was an undercover lover to many...

I think I am still not over this....

I went to so many different schools but from 6th grade up until my freshman year of highschool was all with the same kids. I had not told everyone about me being a JW at 1st and I was not planning on it either. All except for the one day I was going door to door in my territory where I lived, and came upon a house where Ricki and Nicki (twins) lived. They both came to the door, and after that I was called Jehovah (amongst other things) until highschool when they were not so cool anymore. I remember thinking, all that torment from you two, and your not so tuff anymore? They were so cruel about it!

I do not think about it anymore, but when I went through it, while at the same time being a teenager, I felt the world would end! Brings back memories!

LOL at Layla....My delicious pioneer crush went away to Bethel too. He actually just got downsized. But it was so funny how my mom was pleased about my sudden "zeal"! She let me go out in service from sun up (street witnessing) to sun down (evening service). It was just one long flirt fest :)

Oh God this was the worst possible thing. I was the classic double-lifer so seeing people out in service totally would've blown my cover. Actually I didn't smoke or date or even dress that bad, I guess I just kept it in the dark that I was a JW. I remember one time we were in a territory close to my house and actually in an area in which a girl I had a crush on a few years earlier lived. Of course she was out walking in the neighborhood. I literally ran across the street, since it was summer the windows were open and I did a reverse Dukes of Hazard jump into the car (head first). It must've looked awesome!

This really made me smile. My brother and I were huge Dukes of Hazard fans. I can just picture you doing that, LOL!

I was home schooled. The only ones within my cohort that I knew, were in my congregation and maybe a few in other congregations. I didn't know a single soul outside the religion and thought they were all evil doers anyway, so didn't care what they thought of me. My only concern was trying to save them. I did have a guy open the door in only his briefs though. At age 13, I was mortified.

I hated it! Fortunately it didn't happen often. Even when it did my friends were pretty cool about it. One time my Dad blew up on a classmates father who taught Karate and Jesus at the same time. I agreed with my Dad principle but it was so embarrassing. Thank god the girl and her Dad we're both tools and not someone I actually cared about.

I'm actually quite happy that I was homeschooled for this exact reason.
