Haven't watched much tv of late but with the new tv station we're set to get in the next week or so, that's likely to change. The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, Rove Live! to name just a few that I've missed ever since I moved to Darwin. Plan to stock up on snack food this week, (note to self, pick up some Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos) looking forward to it.

I simply have here as my substitute life which is why the keyboard is constantly swimming in able seamen as my ship sets sail for lands of hope and glory from my island parasite!

A Tivo definitely helps me do this, I pull in Doctor Who and Torchwood first run. Battlestar Galaxative, which appears to have JTS this season. Boston Legal, My Name is Earl, another JTS candidate since the prison episodes. Smallville, which JTS when they did the witches stories, but has come back a little and I want to see how they wrap it up. Saw Jericho during its run. Liked it a lot.
I have been getting the 1996 Outer Limits, and have caught most of them by now, original Twilight Zone, seen most and original Star Trek. There are a couple episodes I have never seen, like the Empath. I mostly skim through it and watch the remastered CGI. I have been getting the Superman Animated Series. I have DVDs of the 1940s Max Fleischer version.
I also scooped up Odyssey 5, seriously out of order. Different, and a shout out to all you Canadians on that. Speaking of which, I hope some day there is a run of Starlost.
I loathe so called reality shows, which appear to be populated by whiney drama queens who seriously need to be beaten with an axe handle, or so I feel when subjected to seeing them. American Idolatry is missing one important item, a huge gong! -

The wife and I have fallen under the spell of BBC America...Torchwood, Dr, Who, MI5, Wire in the Blood...we also watch New Amsterdam...Moonlight...CSI Las Vegas...Lost....Dancing With the Stars...HBO seris, although there's nothing current that is interesting...Showtimes The Tudors and Dexter....
I know, sounds like we don't do anything but sit in front of the TV...most of these show are recorded and we view them when we have time...usualy on Sat and Sun morning when the rest of the family sleeps in...

Okay, I'll get a tivo when I get some extra money. Good idea
During the day I have the TV on for my mom....she likes FOX News, (she must just be use to the people and colors, all the flags), anyway, I can't HANDLE IT ANYMORE.
(sorry for all the screaming of late)
So, I'm surfing a bit more, I like news. All the 24/7 channels seem to be the same. Any suggestions? Otherwise I just go to Food TV, or put a movie on.

right there with you on daily show.... i am afraid half the time i fall asleep during colbert report....
my only "other" news source is the news hour on public television, which is also where you will find frontline, independent lens, dr who, now, bill moyer's journal....
i will catch history and discovery channel shows every week..... not exactly honed in on their scheduling but i like the big event weeks best
when i am in canada i love regenesis and corner gas..... diametric opposition from uber-smart to uber-goofy....
when the youngest is watching the food network, i will watch.... when the younger son watches deadliest catch or how it is made.... i will watch......
my one obsession, and i have held onto it, even THRU the JW years, is ER.... i have followed it into its 14th season.....

Bears! The number one threat to America!
And that one thing with the button. Beeeees! lol
I like The Daily Show, and Colbert Report. Adult Swim minus the anime, and The Universe on the History Channel. I used to watch Battlestar Galactica, but I missed quite a bit, and I'd have a lot of catching up to do to get current on the goings on.

I like South Park, The Soup, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, The McLaughlin Group. I'm starting to appreciate Family Guy more too.
I'd probably enjoy shows like Frontline and Bill Moyers if they weren't so depressing...Moyers should call his show "The End of Civilization with Bill Moyers".

The Daily Show.....I don't get to see it every night, but tonight was worth it.
Festival of Wrights.....funny stuff! After being hit from every angle about this man, in five minutes Wright is put in perspecive. Love it! Just had to share with someone.
