    Hope:

Will look into the scream-saver. I have a number of "stars" on file already.

They possess natural immunity from all the garlic they ingest.

    wings:

I'm not too familiar with Lon Chaney but I'd like to become better acquainted. I really could do with more than the mere two faces that I already own. Me, too (discuss that which I was raised on)!

    NMG:

Movies of yore were far more subtle and erotique than those of the present. Could you imagine Count Alucard and his victim watching flames dancing in the fireplace and smoking cigarettes. We all know what that means!

    momz:

    Bela's bella voce!

    Quirky:

Ain't it grand that it's all available on DVD to watch the other days of the week?!?!?

The Johnny Depp film "Ed Wood" has quite a bit to do with Bela. The guy from Mission Impossible and Space 1999 played him and did a great job. I think he won the Oscar for Best 2nd Banana in a motion picture.....

    Tired:

You're absolutely correct; I have the DVD on hand and am soon to view it again.

I love the part where the cast is coerced into baptism and Bunny (Bill Murray) replies "sure" regarding his acceptance of the holy sacrament.

    Thanks for your reply,

It was rather sad the way Bela's career slid down, until he was making horrible grade B- movies in the 1950's. No reflection on his ability, but rather on the studios and the way they chose to use his name and skills. Compare, for example, "Dracula" with some of his films from 20 years later, what a waste of talent.

    Gaiagirl:

Yes. Plan Nine From Outer Space, arguably the worst film ever produced, sees The Master part way through the film, only to be replaced by his taller, face-hidden-behind-the-cape chiropractor. You see, Lugosi died during filming.

    Thanks for your observations.
