Yes I saw it while I was in and then again after I was out. Amazing how much different it was to watch the second time!! That and the Matrix trilogy. So different to watch after you've uncovered the truth. You notice there are the same elements that control Truman that control in the WTS: 1. Fear 2. Keeping busy in your everyday routine 3. Squashing aspirations (like travel) as frivolous

I haven't seen that show for years. I remember when he figured out his life was a fake, then struggled to get out, then reality. Shock of real life, living a lie. Feeling like a fool.

Still it is worth it to know the truth. Good movie.

Yes. Watching the Trueman show seemed eerily familiar when I saw it. I had the same feelings as oneairhead growing up.

I saw the movie on a district convention night. When the lights came up in the theatre most of the audience were Dubs.

Ya think that when the lights came on, it was "new light" maybe? Anyway... more seriously - I watched this movie a few years ago, I was a faded dub, but not an "enlightened" one, so to speak... I would like to watch it again, now that you have brought this up!

Did anyone else get the vibe that it was a play on the Adam and Eve story? He gave up a scripted paradise for a free life in the real world with all its issues?
