Just curious if there is any money exchanged for those higher up in the pryamid scheme of the WTBTS? I know the elders don't get paid, but do the POs and COs? Bethelites? Governing Body? Does anyone receive a steady paycheck for their ministry work?
Do the CO, PO, or anyone get paid?

The "official" paychecks are tiny. Even for Bethelites & GB members.
Of course individual COs, DOs, Bethelites, Missionaries, etc get "green handshakes" from individual JWs. Some more than others.
If you're thinking that there's a few Fat Cats at the top of the JW pyramid getting rich, IMO, that dog don't hunt.

While the monetary compensation may be very tiny or non-existent, those in the "Special Order of Full Time Servants" (those who have taken the "vow of poverty") such as COs, special pioneers, and Bethelites have a pretty hefty benefits package.
For examples, COs get free use of a late-model Buick with all repairs, maintrenance, fuel, and insurance completely paid for, as well as $0 deductible health care coverage. In many if not most circuits, an apartment for their use is available free of charge.
Bethelites get room, board, clothing, free health care.
Not to mention all those "green handshakes".
How much would that cost you or me?
For "unpaid clergy", some folks are making out pretty well!

Congregation Presiding Overseers get nothing. Full time Special Pioneers , Circuit Overseers and the like get a "small" monthly allowance - of course the C/O gets a car to drive and sometimes a flat to live in when not visiting a congo. The Governing body, I am sure pick a few perks unoficially like being able to wangle a flight and a stay somewhere with "brothers" in view of their status, but otherwise, No.

I can assure you, no one is in it for the money.
Either they believe it, it's a power trip or............. a combination of both.

I dont think they are in it for the money. And when retirement time comes and they didnt pay into social security there going to be sol unless they work till they die.
When I was in the tower, I think myself and all those in it believed.
I guess you could still believe today if you stayed off the internet and out of book stores and dont read the papper.

Given the amount of time and effort they put into it what they get back is not financially worthwhile in as much as they could find another occupation that rewards much better for less input.

CO's get to submit an expense report to each congregation they serve. The congregation can choose to
support those expenses. THEY ALWAYS DO. So it's like being the president. You have no expenses
whatsoever, so you don't need money. If the wife wants to get a hair-do, and the green handshakes don't
cover it, they could put it in the expenses. It's still not worth it. Many CO's have to live out of the suitcase and sleep in different homes each week.
They have to save up from the green handshakes if they want to retire, because WTS won't give them
anything if they come out of the circuit work. No more Buick or small apartment, no nothing unless they
stay in the work until they are close to dead.Bethel workers (and CO's and others) can be laid off at a moment's notice. No worker's comp. or
unemployment benefits. That might change as the law catches up to this cult. Still, it ain't worth it.Many work their way up the organization because they have nothing else to fall back on. I could imagine
some Bethel heavies and even some GB members who are terrified to leave with nothing. Ray Franz
managed to do it, but pretty much HAD TO write the first book. -

No one in the local congregation gets paid. As far as I know, those from hounder-hounder up get a small stipend, plus all the extras like health insurance and the use of a car. Special pioneers get paid, but nowhere near what they would if they were working for a worldly company. Those at Beth Hell get very little money, but they get room and board.
Most of the money stays within the Washtowel Babble and Crap Slaveholdery itself. Those running it do get paid, but most of it stays within the company. And (I hope) they are going to need it to settle all the pedophile lawsuits that are coming. I hope they have none left for bribing the UN to start the Second Dark Ages once they are finished paying the balloon.
