And the fact is, JWs love believing that EVERYONE's out to get them. They relish thinking that the governments are out to attack them, that religions hate them, that doctors disdain them for following God's law on blood, etc.

They see it as proof that they have the truth. I remember being at a door with a sister, out in the ministry, and the housholder wondering how we could do what we do, knowing how people felt about us being at their doors with our message. The sister then quoted Jesus' words about his followers being "objects of hatred on account of his name". The more persecution they recieve on account of their faith, the more they feel vindicated.

The Dubs buy into the persecution complex so completely that it affects their mental health.
It is no surprise that there are such a disproportionate number of clinicly depressed Dubs compared to the general population.
They are a very sick bunch, indeed.
Glad I am out and mentally healthy.
