In our Cong. in England a good while ago we were asked to vote on giving the ownership of our K.H to a charitable (?) Trust owned and run by guess who. As usual no dissenting vote was allowed, or discussion, so RAF meekly voted for the motion and even though many abstained this kind of vote cannot fail, especially when the RAF dont understand what is being done. I guess this vote went on in the whole of the UK ? So no individual Cong has control of the funds generated by a sale it all goes back to Mother.

The cong I grew up in fizzled and sold their KH, giving most or all of the proceeds to mama. What a shame.

As things stand in the UK, if a congo is dissolved, at present the funds should be divided up, pro rata among the members.
This is the WT trying to prevent this, say if a congo has to be disbanded due to apostasy etc.

so is this legal/financial "positioning" yet another indication that the empire is dwindling? that there is a hurrying in the activities to protect assests rather than members from "real world" outcomes of corporate downsizing?
