I remember something to the effect of the dinosaurs were used to clear the land of excess vegetation, and they weren't going to be needed after the flood so they were all killed during the flood. Of course I don't believe that nonsense now.
This was before they found the chicxulub impact site though.

I was told that the dinos were got rid of so that the world would then be ready for human habitation. Apparently dino crap was good for the enviroment in those days.Now the Borg just spreads any old crap around.
The Witlesses base a lot of their beliefs on the sayings of Fred Flinstone who was known as Fred Franz.I have heard that's the bedrock of their light emitting truths.

That's a nice topic. I recall that the JW's (not any official WT's publication)they were saying that the dino's destroyed by the Flood(the Flood occured in Mesopotamia and it was regional only not world wide as many JW's and creationists believe). It seems Noah didn't allow any T-Rex to enter the ark. Besides they would have eaten all the animals at the ark...
But JW's cannot justify the fact that Dino's were flesh eating reptiles, and I recall once an talking to an elder that he couldn't understand why did God created the dino's and the fact many of them they were cannibals. How can a God of love that suppose created everything peacefull in Eden allowed this kind of brudal animals?
On the contrary the fossils proove that the earth is billions years old and that there was time in the history of this plannet that dynosauros(from the Greek world dynos and saura)were dominating the earth, until an impact of an asteroid ended their domination. This are the facts that WT never tried to explain or even dared to touch, because it will raise more questions instead of answers.

I've heard of dinosaurs flying over England in the past few hundred years, on talk radio about 20 years ago. That was before the net so I cant find a link.
When I was young I used to hear them talk about dinosaurs and fossil fuels. But in the past few years I have heard people who claim to be experts on oil say that oil doesnt come from the dinosaurs or fossils.
They say the earth generates it by shifting of tetonic plates.
Any way they say plant your dog or cat in the back yard and see if they turn into a puddle of oil in 10 years. They claim your pet wont. They say he will turn to dust. Why wouldnt a dinosaur turn to dust. Why would they turn to oil?
Make sure your pet has died of natural causes before you plant it.
